Tomorrow Never Knows

одно one.

"Excuse me?"

There's a kid in front of me. He looks about the same age as myself. With big, pouty lips and brown hair. He's skinny and oh so gorgeous looking. I blink.

"Yes?" I hear myself talk.

He pulls out his hand and opens it. There's change in his palm.

"I'm a little dim, so spare with me,"

I nod.

"How do you get $1.40 out of this?" He displays his hand to my eyes. I scan the money held out to me.

"Use four quarters and 40 pennies." I say simply.

He looks at me, confused.

"Alright." Is all he says.

He does as I say and he slips $1.40 into the vending machine. He presses B7 and a bottle of Cherry Pepsi falls into his reach. He looks at me.

"Thank you...'"He's waiting for my name.

I look at him and stutter out.

"Ryan."

"Thank you Ryan."

"You're welcome..." I hint at his.

"Brendon."

"You're welcome, Brendon."

He walks off and out of the hospital's cafeteria.

Yes, this is where I am when I could be spending great fun at home.

I sigh and slump back to the table near the window. I let my head fall onto the surface.

I hope I see him again.
