I'm in Love With a Dead Guy, but I Brought Him Back to Life

Hogwarts

We began walking up this path towards the castle in the distance. Draco was being really sweet, a real gentleman. How could this guy be evil? It appeared as if he really cared for me...

"Here we are!" Draco announced. "Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry."

"Why did you bring me here?" I asked curiously.
"Because you can't apparate in here, which means," he stopped and gave me a wicked smile. “No interruptions.”

I nodded, unsure of what apparating was, and the big man behind me snorted, earning him a glare from Draco. We continued on our way.

The scenery here was beautiful. It was a large stone castle, surrounded a calm quiet forest. It even had a large lake! The setting sun made the water a cool orange color. It was so crisp and clean here, I didn't want to leave. But there were still a few things that were bothering me.

“Er, Draco?” I whispered to him, which he seemed to take as some sort of sexual advance. He responded by bringing his body closer to mine, which I found very uncomfortable.

“Uh,” I paused for a moment, and took a step away from him. It just did not feel right. Like when Ryan had tried to ask me out on a date. “Ahem, er, who is he, and why is he here?”

He was a big guy, not as in fat or muscular, but tall. He seemed to tower over me. He was skinny and very pale, as if he had never seen the sun before, or had had something very traumatic happen to him.

Draco held the grand castle door opened for me.

"Thanks," I said politely, but I was bothered by the fact that he had not answered my question.

"Follow me," Draco said, taking my hand, making me cringe.

This isn’t right…

There was a small set of marble stairs off to the side, which he led me to, the strange big guy following close behind. Too close, to be honest. The hallway had many suits of armor, which I swear were staring at me. Trust me, I heard the squeaking of their heads as they turned. Or maybe that was a mouse. This thought brought me closer to Draco. He smiled, to my discontent.

It began getting darker and darker, and as if by magic, well duh, of course it's magic, torches on the wall lit up one by one. We ended up stopping in front of a very large tapestry.

"Now what?" I asked curtly. He put his fingers to his lips to silence me.

Draco pulled out his wand and gave it a little flick. The bottom of the tapestry came to life and lifted into the air, revealing a very small door, no bigger than a baby elephant.
"Ladies first," Draco whispered with a grin. I looked at him wearily. There was a clang from behind, and that convinced me to enter the tight squeeze. The man followed behind, and Draco closed the door on his way in. This time there were no torches, so I couldn't see a thing.

"It's ok," Draco said softly. "I'm here for you." That gave me a little confidence boost. I eventually submerged into a small, dim room. It had cob webs everywhere, and it smelled like my dad's socks after he had just taken a very long jog.

"Not much," Draco said. "But it was a cool hang out when I went to school here."

Draco led me to a little couch in the corner. I slowly sat down, and Draco took the seat beside me. He scooched closer to me, and closer, and closer. I felt a little nervous about what he was about to do, but I guess you can say he saved me, so I owed him. He wrapped his left arm around my shoulders, and slid it down to my waist. My heart began pounding again, like a little miniature drum. Draco began leaning in to kiss me. I was so shocked I didn't do anything, at first.

But suddenly, Draco was gone. The man had picked him up by his collar and was glaring dangerously at Draco.

“Now is not the time,” he said. Well it was more like he breathed it out, if that makes any sense. “We need to find out how to bring the Dark Lord back.”

“I know that, fool,” Draco growled, pulling the man’s hands off of him. “I was hoping to make her more comfortable.”

“By kissing me?” I managed to say, but it came out more like a squeal than anything. "I hardly know you!"

"Come on, Zoe," Draco said grumpily. "You may not remember, but we did that plenty of times! Even a little farther."

He said with a wink. I felt disgusted. He was such a pig.

"You don’t loved me!" I shouted. "You just want me for whatever knowledge you think I have!"

I kicked him where the sun should never shine and ran for the tapestry, only to have my shoulder pulled back so hard I think I heard a pop. And not a good one, at that.

The big man was staring angrily in my eyes.

“You are going to help us,” he growled, and I felt that familiar spray of spit go onto my face, and an old sense of defiance.

“One, that is disgusting,” I informed him, wiping his saliva off of my cheek. “You should really learn to say it, and not spray it. Two, hell no!”

Unfortunately, kicking a dumbass in the balls does not work twice in a row. I went to kick him, but he threw me on the couch, right onto the first dumbass.

Now how to get around dumbass number two…

And Eureka.

“I know how to bring the Dark Lord back,” I told him carefully, and he took the bait.

“Tell me now,” he demanded roughly, grabbing my shirt collar. Seemed to be a favorite of his.

“Ok, but I cannot perform the ritual here,” I informed him, biting my lips in fake disappointment.

“Where can you do this?” he growled, if even possible, louder. He almost resembled an angry, but huge white Chihuahua. His eyes were flashing, but I could sense some insanity in them as well. He must have wanted this Dark Lord guy to come back in a bad way. I took advantage of his current state of mind.

I had convinced him that I need to be outside in order for this, er, resurrection to occur, so as soon as he was stupid enough to let me lead, I whipped the midget door open and charged out of it, my shoes creating a little tapping noise on the stone floor. I felt little bursts of air shoot past my head, knowing very well that they were magic spells. My charge turned into a run, then into a dash. Bright red and green flashes whizzed right by my head, making my hair fly into my face. I didn't know what they did, but I didn't want to find out. I ran up the stairs and out to the entrance. I saw children scattered everywhere, apparently awakened by the crashing of the spells, or me screaming. One of the two.

None of them tried to stop me, but simply dodged the crazy man’s raging spells. The doors flew open by themselves. At this point, I didn't care. I needed to get away from Draco. I can't believe I trusted him.

The sun had set, and I couldn't see anything, only the small light coming from the moon. I kept running. I couldn't stop, not if I wanted to get away from Draco and big crazy man. I turned my head to see if he was following me, and ended up running smack into another person.

The person grabbed my face. I couldn't tell who it was, for tears had begun to blur my vision.

"It's ok, it's me!" A familiar voice said. A voice that I had been waiting to hear for a long time.

"F-f-fred?" I asked shakily. He nodded, and wiped the tears form my eyes. "I-I'm so sorry, Fred!"

"It wasn't your fault!" he said, shoving me into his chest.

"Aw, how touching," Draco said disgustedly. I turned around and saw him and the man, both with their wands pointing at us.

“Holy crap, is that a Death Eater?” Fred exclaimed suddenly, referring to the crazy guy. “I remember you. Yaxley, right?”

“I remember you, too,” Yaxley said with a sneer. “I remember that Rookwood had taken care of you, and now you’re back. The reason that I’m back, is to find out how you got back.”

“He sounds like a babbling idiot,” Fred whispered to himself.

“He’s delusional,” I told him, patting Fred on the chest.

"I tried and I tried, Zoe, but you just wouldn't fall in love with me,” he continued, shaking his head in mock sadness as if nothing had interrupted him. “I believe I had you, for a moment.”

I swallowed. My throat was very dry.

"Leave her alone, ferret boy!" Fred snapped.

"You know, Weezlebie, I have had enough of you. I finally figured out why she won't love me: you. You always managed to get in my way. Not anymore." Draco snapped up his wand. "Avada Kedavra!" He screamed and pointed his wand at Fred.

"Zoe, run!" Fred screamed. I couldn't help it. This moment proved to me, that Fred really loved me, and that I loved him. But a moment before impact, I pushed Fred away from the green spell, causing him to fall to the ground. The spell collided in my stomach, splashing green all around me. I flew backwards through the air, my eyes getting darker, and darker. I swear, a moment before the spell hit me, I saw a bright flash of white light, like an angel. It meant my time was up. I took everything in. The smell of the grass, the taste of air, and all the love for Fred in my heart.

Hehe, sorry guys! I know it's REALLY been awhile, but I've been busy. Also, I have not been in the mood to write lately. So much going on. The life of a teenager, am I right?

*chirping crickets*

Ahem. Well, I hope you enjoyed this chapter. It was really sad and depressing, I know. And sadly the story is almost done. Almost done as in, two more chapters. Now does that mean Zoe lives? Well, i can't exactly say. That would ruin the story! Just leave a comment, and I'll put the next chapter up very soon.
