Moving
Chapter 1:
Stomp, stomp, stomp, SLAM!... “Blaine! Unlock this door RIGHT NOW!”. And that would be my mother yelling at my twin brother Blaine who is only slightly more ticked off about the move than I am. My name is Bridget Fray Lethal, yes I know… strange name. My brother is Blaine Tobias Lethal, and we live with our mother Scarlet and our aunt Jenna.
I am currently sitting on my window sill in my joint room to Blaine’s, wondering why in the world it is that we have to move every two years for my aunt’s job. You see, my mother had us at 16, my aunt was 21 and their parents (my grandparents if that’s not obvious) disowned my mom after they found out. Soooo, my aunt took my mom in and both Blaine and I love her for that, God only knows where we would’ve ended up. But! At times I just wana strangle her! I mean! COME ON! Seriously!? I feel like every friggen time I make a new friend other than my psycho path friend repellant bad ass brother I loose them a year later. So Not Fare!
My aunt works for a business known as ‘Buckland, Brown, Taylor Co.’ …what an original business name right? Yeah but no really? The business is a major money maker! They work with antiques, auctions and anything they can buy cheap and old refurbish and sell it for four times it’s worth. My aunt is very high up on the work force and moves a lot being manager (other than the actual business owners who being so talented used their names as the business name) and with her goes who? Oh yeah… us. And why you ask do we just not… move out? Well that would be because my mother dropped out of high school after having us, never got a job not needing to because of my rich aunt. Instead she struck up a deal with my aunt, we live with her, mom cleans the house and Blaine and I talk up her business whenever we move to get more clients.
This time we are moving to Southern Pines, North Carolina. My aunt will actually be living in Raleigh but doesn’t want to live there it’s self, but she apparently does want to live in little small town Southern Pines, the home of rednecks, beautiful golf courses and one teeny tiny strip mall… Great. I will be going to Union Pines high school for my brother and mine Junior Year. We are 16 soon to be 17 in August, it is now July 3rd 2009… The end of a once new beginning and the beginning of a soon to be end. Just Fan-fricken-tastic…
