[Kaiden's POV]

I threw my bag in the corner before jumping on the bed. I sighed in frustration.

I can't believe Sage is in my room. This isn't happening.

I glanced up at him. He was standing there examining my posters on the wall. I noticed he had a spiral notebook in his hand he was jotting down little notes. I cleared my throat. He looked at me smiling.

"Yes?" he asked sitting at the end of the bed.

"Can we please get this over with?" I asked irritated.

"I was just admiring you're wonderful taste in music." he explained.

I faked a laugh.

"You're so funny. Enough jokes."

"I'm serious. I saw them live about a month ago." he replied.

My eyes widened.

"Yo-You did? So did I!"

"Yeah I saw you and your dad."

Oh no..that means he saw-...

He looked at me with a confused expression.

"Are you okay? Calm down."

He grabbed my shoulders holding me down. I didn't notice how badly I was shaking.

"I-I'm fine." I stammered pushing him away.

There was a long silence.

"Don't be ashamed. Your secret is safe with me." he said finally breaking the silence.

I looked at him surprised.

" I don't understand.."

"If I haven't told anyone yet what makes you think I would tell now?" he asked

"But why?"

"It's none of my business how you and your dad live."

"You don't think we're repulsive?"

"Of course not. I have no right to judge."

"Wait..are you?"

"It's not obvious?" he asked laughing.

"Is this another one of your sick jokes?"

"No, this isn't a joke."

Before I could say anything there was a light knock on the door.

"Dinners ready."

"We'll be right out dad." I answered.

Sage grabbed my arm tugging me out of the bed.

"Let's go get some food I'm starving." he said cheerfully.

I laughed running past him.

"Ha! I win!" I cheered.

"Psh I let you win." he replied sitting next to me

I heard the front door open and then close. We both looked up when Dennis walked in.

"Hey Dennis."

"Hey. Whose this?" he asked pointing to Sage.

"I'm Sage Lucien." he replied shaking Dennis's hand.

"Nice to meet you."

Dennis was about to plant a kiss on dad but he leapt up quickly. Dennis stared at him confused but it didn't take him long to understand.

I looked over at Sage. He had the hugest grin on his face. Both of us began laughing uncontrollably.

"What's so funny?" Dad asked us confused.

"You two don't have to be uncomfortable. Sage knows everything."

"He does?"

Sage nodded and continued eating.

"And you're okay with it?" Dennis asked cautiously.

"Sage is a member of the club." I hinted.

Dennis got out of his seat wrapping his arms around Sage. I looked over a dad who winked at me before taking a sip of his drink.

Who knew Sage and I had so much in common. This project might not be so bad after all..
