After dinner we all sat around and watched a movie.

"Kaiden it's getting late why don't you take Sage home." Dad reached into his pocket pulling out his keys.

"Okay." I hopped up running to my room to grab his stuff.

I handed it to him.

"It was nice meeting you!" Dennis said.

"You too. Thanks for having me over Mr.Anson."

"Your welcome."

The car ride to his house was silent.

"I had fun tonight." he muttered as we pulled into his drive way.

"M-Me too." I replied feeling nervous.

He stared at me for a moment. I bit my lip nervously. He slowly leaned in kissing my cheek lightly.

"Good night." he said smiling as he got out of the car.

"N-Night." I stammered still in shock.

I watched him as he went into his house before leaving.

I made a stop at the store to pick up some Skittles before making my way home. I noticed the lights in the house were off.

Hmm. Dennis is still here..

I unlocked the front door to see the most horrific thing I've ever laid eyes on.

"Dad!" I shrieked shielding my eyes.

I heard someone fall to the floor with a loud thump.

"Oops." I heard Dennis mumble

With my eyes still covered I ran to my bedroom.

"Sorry Kaiden!" I heard my dad shout after me.

I threw myself on the bed. I soon forgot about what happened when Sage popped into my thoughts. I raised my hand to my cheek. I couldn't help but smile when I thought about him. I decided to take a shower. After a long shower I went back to my bedroom. I opened my journal writing about today's events. As I was getting ready for bed dad walked in smiling awkwardly.

"Sorry about earlier." He mumbled sitting next to me.

"Don't worry about it." I replied.

"You and Sage seemed to be getting along well tonight."

"Yeah, he's not so bad."

He rustled my hair before getting up to leave.

"Thanks dad."

He turned an smiled.

"Night kiddo."
