The Wakko Werewolves

Chapter 9

"What should we do?" Steve asked.

"Answer the door and invite them for tea." Amy suggested sarcastically.

"I'll see who it is but I won't answer." Tyler said and got up.

We stood behind him as he walked to the door. The knock came again.

"Who is it?" he asked.

"Great he just gave us away." Amy whispered.

"Sshh." I said.

"It's Trevor!" the person on the other side of the door said.

Tyler reached for the door knob and opened it.

"Trevor what are you doing here?" Tyler asked.

"Who's Trevor?" Beth asked.

"He's the boys' cabin director." Steve said and walked to the door.

"I could ask you all the same question. What's going on?" Trevor asked stepping in and closing the door behind himself.

"You wouldn't believe this Trevor but we've been attacked by werewolves." Tyler said.

"You sure you haven't been attacked by the fumes at the camp fires?" he asked crossing his arms and smiling.

I didn't like the look on his face. And his scent was too relaxed.

"You got to believe us. Even Cassandra was bitten by one and she's changing. She even fought a wolf." Steve said.

"You'd rat anyone out huh?" I asked him.

"Well it was probably just wolves how about you come with me and we'll go back to camp." Trevor said.

"Great did you bring a car or something?" Tyler asked.

"A car, no we can walk it. It's only what an hour or two?" Trevor asked and shrugged.

I raised an eyebrow.

"I don't trust him." I said stepping forward.

"Well I'm guessing you're Cassandra." he said and smiled crossing his arms.

"Cassie, if he's here that means the wolves are gone and we can leave." Tyler said to me.

"Great lets go then." Beth said.

"No, you can tell he's lying." I said.

"I'm not lying we can go back to camp it's safe. Maybe you're just hallucinating from the bite." he said.

"So you do believe I was bitten by a werewolf right?" I asked him.

"I didn't say that." he said.

I squinted.

"You're thinking it." I said.

"Okay kids lets go now. You need medical help." Trevor said to me.

"You need to get out." I growled.

"Cassandra what are you doing, he's going to help us." Steve said.

"Steve's right, come on Tyler." Trevor said touching the door handle.

I looked at Tyler he wasn't going to go along with it was he?

"Well, let's shake on it." Tyler said pulling his hand from his pocket and holding it out to Trevor.

"You can't go with him!" I pleaded but I saw as Trevor grabbed Tyler's hand.

I smelt burning flesh and then I saw a pained look in Trevor's face.

He growled and pushed Tyler away from him and then threw the pendant on the floor.

"You little bastard." he growled.

I pulled the door open and grabbed Trevor's shirt and pulled him out and slammed the door. He came back to the door beating and kicking it. He growled. I tried to hold the door close but he pushed his arm through and tried to claw me.

"Let me in!" he growled.

"I need help!" I yelled.

Amy came at him with a piece of broke floor board and slammed it hand into his hand. He growled and his hand shifted and he clawed her face. Amy fell back and cried covering her face. Beth ran to her. I reached over and bit into Trevor's arm. He growled out in an angry furry pulling his arm back. I slammed the door shut and locked it. Then he tried the windows and again. The boys were busy barricading them stacking desks blocking the shutters and stopping them from opening.

Trevor gave up and growled.

"You'll have to come out sometime!" he growled.

I didn't let go of the door until I was sure he was gone. I looked at Steve and Tyler who were panting.

"Sorry about not believing you!" Steve said.

I sighed and rolled my eyes. "Whatever." I said.
