My Life As Sienna Brown

Part 124

There was a brunch after the service was finished. It was down the stret in the basement of a hall that was really too small. I'm surpirsed somebody didn't pass out in the humid room where all the tables were lined up.

I stayed down there as long as I could, sitting in a far corner, distant from everybody else. It was all too awkward for me- I didn't know how to handle how everyone was feeling. I couldn't help them.

I know what I'm gonna do- I'm just gonna smoke. I'm gonna go outside and smoke my brains out...

I got up and figitted with my twitching hands all the way to the door and walked out into the beaming heat. Flicking the lighter as it stressed to me the fact that it wasn't going to work.

I cursed before I heard the doors open again. "Need a light?"

"Why aren't you inside," I asked Sienna.

"It's too stuffy- besides, I needed a cigarette," she stated, handing her lighter to me as she puffed smoke through the air.

"Too much drama, you mean?"

She nodded and I almost wanted to smirk, figuring it would maybe make her smile. But then I decided it would seem rude- maybe disrespectful.
