It just ain't living

For once in her in her life Sienna was truly scared, she had never felt this way before. Thoughts and worry crept in to her mind to fast for her brain to even acknowledge them. The horrible disease was ravaging her, as her body was giving up. She knew it was a losing battle and as she continued to think she was a person now on death row just waiting for her time to finally come to an end.

Sienna had no will power left it was as though she felt that there would just be defeat, as sienna lay motionless on her bed she realised that she had no choice but to accept her new fate.

Phillip was beside himself unable to comprehend that he was going to loose his only child, he wasn’t willing to accept that there was no chance of survival for Sienna, he wanted to fight this for his daughters sake

Mikey on the other hand still had no idea of what had happened, he spent most of the day doing what he pleased, Sienna was unsure of how she was going to tell Mikey the terrible news…she couldn’t find the right words to be able to tell him.
Sienna’s father walked up to her room where he found his daughter just laying on her bed her face scrunched in to the pillow.

“Sienna…please get up”Phillip asked
“What’s the use” Sienna muttered
“Don’t be like this Sienna we are going to fight this… YOU WILL GET A 2ND OPINION” Phillip said raising his voice toward his daughter.

Sienna looked shocked she didnt know what to think, her father saw that she wasnt interested in what he had to say and he would have none of it, he rang the only person he thought would be able to help Sienna through this tough time.

Mikey arrived at Sienna as soon as he could possibly get there, he wasnt told anything over the phone only that Phillip needed help with Sienna - Walking inside he greeted Phillip and asked where Sienna was
“She is upstairs” Phillip replied
MIkey bolted up the stairs and knocked Sienna’s bedroom door “Daddy please just go away”Sienna yelled
“It’s me” Mikey replied
Sienna walked to her door and opened it “Oh” was all she could muster

Mikey walked in and embraced Sienna in his arms where he kissed her tenderly on the lips “Baby what’s wrong...Why have you been crying?”
Sienna didnt know what to say did she just blurt it out, did she speak to him confidently so as not to worry it was all to much for her, Mikey looked at her waiting for her to talk “Um...I-I-I “ Sienna sobbed as fresh tears fell down her face

“Baby what is it? Your scaring me!”
“My cancer...”
“What about your cancer...don’t worry about it babe...we can fight this” Mikey said trying to be reassuring
“That’s just it we cant...The-e-e-e chemo didnt work”
“What do you mean the chemo didnt work it had to have worked!”
“I’m sorry Mikey...I saw the doctor again and they said the cancer has spread around my body and it’s in operable” Sienna said trying to get her words together
“This is bullshit...it has to work...that’s what doctors are for” Mikey screeched as tears started to fall from his eyes

Sienna held on to Mikey as he tried to work out what he had just been told, Mikey didnt know what to think he couldn’t loose the most important person in his life...she couldn’t die, he wouldn’t let her, he needed her
Mikey’s thought’s started to go everywhere, he tried to regain his composure he couldn’t be like this he needed to be there for her as he continued to think

“Baby we are gonna fight this...that I promise you...I wont loose you ...I cant and I wont”
“I’m sorry Mikey...I’m sorry I am bringing you this pain but it is it, the doctor said there is basically nothing they can do, I should just live my life to the fullest while I can” Sienna said with a small smile
“Did they say how long?” Mikey asked crumbling
“They don’t know it could be a few months it could be a couple of years...for now please can we not worry about it...this is all I have thought about...that I am going to die...I don’t want to die...I want to be with you...I want my life” Sienna replied
“I love you Sienna...more then you will ever know” Mikey replied
“I love you and know that I always will” Sienna said kissing Mikey on his soft lips

Mikey looked up at Sienna and saw how beautiful she was, the most intelligent woman he had met so caring and never to pass judgement, always so accepting, as he continued to study her he done the unthinkable.
“Sienna will you marry me” he asked with as much courage as he could muster

Sienna looked at him as if to say are you crazy “Mikey please don’t do this coz you feel sorry for me, I always asked that I never wanted sympathy” Sienna replied
“Sienna I’m not I want to marry you...I want you to do me the honour of being my wife, I have loved you since I first met you, you mean the world to me” Mikey replied confidently
Sienna couldn’t believe the sweet words that were coming out of Mikey’s mouth “Yes...Yes I’ll marry you” she said squealing and jumping on Mikey with delight
“Baby your gonna make me the happiest man in the whole entire world”

After calming down Mikey took Sienna to her bed where he made love to her that very moment, feeling each other with so much passion, they devoured each other with there love for one another.
