Something More

The next morning I woke up and felt something heavy on my waist. I glanced down and fund that it was an arm. I looked to see who and saw Fred, sleeping soundly. I sighed, contently ad snuggled into him. It reminded me of the first time I woke up like this, and I wanted to make it last.

~ ~Flashback~ ~

Jamie had a nightmare and had to come see me, in the middle of the night. Fred had brought him over here and he immediately latched onto me, crying about me dying. I had comforted him and he eventually fell back asleep. I had put him in the bed that was for him on nights like tonight. I looked at Fred.

“He was really freaked out. Did he tell you what happened?”

“No. I woke up to him yelling ‘Momma’ over and over again. I tried to calm him but… it didn’t work so I picked him up and brought him here. I got caught by Filch but he saw Jamie and got mad he couldn’t punish me.” I giggled. I was sleeping in the Room of Requirements because of nights like this, but Jamie was in with Fred because he loved being with Fred. Before he met Fred, Jamie was sleeping in here. Filch was informed of this and if Fred is bring Jamie down to me, he can't do anything.

“Oh. Well, you don’t have Jamie anymore.. so you should sleep in here.” I smiled

“well, if you say so.” Fred smiled and climbed into bed with me. He kissed my head as I snuggled into him. The next morning I woke up with something heavy on my waist. I glanced down and fund that it was an arm. I looked to see who and saw Fred, sleeping soundly. I sighed, contently and snuggled into him. He woke up not long after that. I tried t make it seem like I was asleep but he wasn’t buying it. He started to tickle my sides, I made him stop by kissing him. I pulled back out of breath, smiling.

“I love you.” He stared at me, seriously. I wanted to hesitate, not sure if I was ready to say that. I opened my mouth to form the words.

“I love you too.”

I frowned to myself. As I found myself wondering if we’d ever be like that again. As much as I don’t want to admit it, I don’t think we will. I honestly don’t think that he would ever WANT to be with me again. I had tried to convince myself over the summer that I didn’t care. I tried to show Draco that I could care less if ‘some guy’ dumped me. I tried to be strong. Every time I was in my room… I broke down, I would cry my eyes out. I always asked myself Why. Why did he break up with me? Why didn’t he want me? Why doesn’t he love me? Why did he make me fall in love with him? Why did he rip my heart out? Why didn’t he ever give it back? Why did most of his things disappear? Why did the things I gave him not get back to me? The question I asked myself the most was, Why didn’t he ask for the necklace back? He had given me a very expensive heart necklace the night he told me he loved me, he had that it was ‘his heart’ and as long as I had it I would ‘always hold his heart.’ And that if I kept it on then he ‘always has my heart’. I heard his breathing change and I knew he was awake. I didn’t want to leave his embrace just yet, so I pretended to be asleep. I could feel him start to release me so I snuggled into him more. He put his arm back around me and I could feel his gaze on me. I don’t know how long we were just laying there but I knew Jamie would be up soon, so I had to get up as well.

“Lena?”

“hmmm”

“Come on, you need to get up, its 7:30. I can hear Jamie downstairs.” Fred confirmed my thoughts and I slowly sat up. “I’m going to go get dressed. I’ll meet you downstairs..” He walked over to the door. I stood up.

“Fred.” I said, calling him back. He had just stepped out of the door but he looked back. I took a deep breath and walked over to him. I kissed him, he stayed still for a moment, my guess was that he didn’t want to kiss me. I pulled back and, not being able to say it was for Jamie, closed the door in his face.

~Fred’s POV~

“Fred.” Lena said, calling me back. I had just stepped out of the door but I looked back. I noticed her take a deep breath and walk over to me. She stood there for a moment then kissed me. I was shocked to say the least and by the time I came to my senses she pulled back and, closed the door in my face. I stood there for a few minutes, trying to register what just happened. I slid downstairs in a daze.

“Daddy!!”

“Hey buddy. Come on, lets get you dressed.” I smiled at him and took him up to my dorm. I get his clothes out but he insisted on putting them on, on his own. He had the same uniform we did, just his tie and crest was all the houses, because he hasn’t been sorted yet. I bent down to help him with his tie.

“Daddy, are you and mommy ever going to get back together?”

“I don’t know. I hope so, but I really don’t think we will.”

“Why not?”

“It’s complicated.”

“How? Don’t you love her?”

“Of course I do. I have never loved anyone more then your mom, and I never will… She will always be my number one girl.”

“Oh,”

“Jamie, I meant in girls. You and your mommy are tied for my love. It’s just a different kind of love.”

“Okay. Is mommy up yet?”

“Yea, She should be downstairs by now.” He grabbed my hand and pulled me downstairs, smiling as Lena came into view. I made no suggestions to the kiss that had just happened so that she wouldn’t feel awkward.

“Hey baby.”

“What are we doing today momma?”

“Well, I have Muggle Studies today, then I’m free.”

“I’m Free until after lunch, then I have Charms.”

“Only 1 class today??” Jamie said looking upset.

“Well, How bout this. I take you to Muggle Studies, then daddy, you, and I will hang out. The Daddy can take you to Charms, and afterwards we can hang out again. How does that sound?” She smiled at him.

“Ok. Come on daddy. Breakfast!!” We laughed at his enthusiasm and Lena and I walked out with Jamie..

~Alena’s POV~

`During Class`

So far the professor decided we should do something fun, so we were playing a muggle game called ‘I’ve Never’. After she finished explaining we all got 10 red coins, if we did what the person said we have to give up one coin. We made a circle, Jamie sat next to me, and Aj started.

“I’ve never been to a Quidditch World Cup.” About half the class threw a coin in the middle. I was next.

“I’ve never had a crush on a celebrity.” I smiled as most of the class threw one in. Jamie was sitting next to me.

“I’ve never…. kissed a girl…that wasn’t my mommy.” I laughed, along with some others, and all the girls threw one in. we went threw and one by one people went out. One Ravenclaw named Taylor, who didn’t particularly like me, Aj, Jamie and myself were left. It was Taylors turn.

“I’ve never… had sex and gotten pregnant.” She smirked in my direction, as I made sure t cover Jamie’s ears as soon as she started to utter the word sex. I didn’t put one in. “Well, Alena, we all know you have.. so put your last one in.” The class ended then and everyone scattered from the room as I went up to Taylor. “God, your such a bitch. Why didn’t you put your chip in.” I dropped my chip in her hand.

“It’s not considered sex when your raped at age 12.” I glared at her and got Jamie. I caught her shocked and sympathetic look as she left.

“Guess what Jamie.” The professor came up to us

“What?”

“You had the most chips left, so you won.” He smiled. “Come here and pick something.” She and Jamie went to her desk, I saw her nod and perform 2 or 3 spells, and Jamie came back with two boxes. He had a necklace, dog tag, around his neck as well.

“What did you get baby?”

“Lockets.” I smiled,

“Well come on, lets go show daddy.” I said. We walked back to the common room and saw Fred on the couch.

“Daddy!!” Jamie ran up to him. I walked up behind them and sat down next to Fred, pulling Jamie up on my lap.

“Hey buddy.”

“Guess what!!”

“What?”

“We played a game in class and I won. So I got to pick what I wanted.”

“Really? What did you pick?”

“I got three lockets.” He smiled. He held up his own. “This one is mine, it says Jamie. It has a picture of Mommy, and one of Daddy.” He paused and gave one of the boxes to Fred. Fred opened it and pulled out a dog tag similar to Jamie’s. “That one is yours, it says Daddy. It’s got a picture of me and Mommy.” He handed me the last box. I opened it, expecting to find a third dog tag, and found that it was a heart locket. It had a little line of ‘fake’ diamonds going down a little off to the side. “That one is Mommy’s. It says Mommy and has three pretty stars over it. It’s got a picture of me, and one of daddy.” He smiled.

“Jamie. This is beautiful.” I said, tears in my eyes. “You are the sweetest little boy ever.” I put the locket on, as did Fred.

“You can trust us on this, its never coming off.” Fred said, smiling. I looked at the pictures in mine. The one of Fred had been the day that he asked me to the ball. It was right after I had said yes. George told him what I said and he’d been watching me, in a daze. At the time that was taken, I had smiled at him. My picture was the day that he said he loved me. It was the weekend so I was wearing regular clothes, we were in RoR and I sat like that, watching him try to make me something to eat.

“So, you guys like them?”

“We love them.” Fred said, I agreed.

“As much as you love mommy, daddy?”

“As much as I love her. As much as I love you. As much as I love the both of you.” He looked at while he said this.

“Good. Cause I don’t want a new Daddy.”
