I've Been the Secret That You've Been Keeping
Dani Conrad was once friends with Jon Walker. But that was when she was in elementary school. After third grade, she moved across Chicago from Bartlett to Barrington. There, she met William Beckett, the guy that would soon become her older brother's best friend, Jason Siska, a friend of William's, William's little sister Courtney Beckett, who would soon become Dani's best friend, and Jason's little brother, Adam, which, despite the two year age difference, became Dani's best guy friend.
Fast forward seven or so years. She is a junior in high school and dating William. William, Dani's older brother, Tom, Adam, and two more of their friends are in a band, The Academy. However, everything changes when Jon moves to Barrington.
(Yes, Molly and I are aware that neither Jon Walker, Mike Carden, nor Tom Conrad went to Barrington High School, and that Michael DelPrincipe and AJ LaTrace were in the band at the time this is supposed to be set in, but we claim literary license)
