She Cries

She wipes her tears and gaze up towards the night sky. Did all the stars fall down at once or why is it so dark?

She dreams herself away, far away from this cruel reality, to where she can spread her wings and fly free. Free from everything that’s keeping her down. Free from all the inner pain and all the confusing thoughts that don’t belong to her, but to somebody else.

A stranger in the shadows is waiting for his chance to get inside the fragile mind of a weakened soul. She cries because it hurts to know that her dreams won’t come true and she still will be the same when she wakes up in the morning. She doesn’t want to go to bed because she’s afraid of waking up.

She tries to escape from his piercing gaze, but it’s too late. He’s got her in his grip now. She’s lost again. He takes over her mind and put thoughts there that don’t belong to her. Thoughts that make her do things she doesn’t want to do. He’s the monster chasing her in her dreams. Infected with self hatred she hurts herself. Slave under his words she starves herself. She’s a victim of someone else’s thoughts, a slave under someone else’s will.
