There is a park exactly 362 steps away from Rhys’ apartment. The grass is dry and yellow in the summer and constantly brown and muddy in the winter. Rhys and Faris often just sit on the swings, kick the woodchips at their feet and talk nonsense. And when it gets too cold out to go down there every night like they have been, Rhys and Faris stay in, at Rhys’ place, drink cocoa and play board games and they kiss each other good night and Faris leaves and they go back to being Spider Webb and Faris Badwan, of the Horrors, rather than just Rhys and Faris, who are in love.
