Take My Hand and Don't Let Go

"do I need to wait for you to say something about the kiss, or should I start ?" He asked after a moment of silence

I nodded my head as a signal for him to start talking

"well, what did that mean to you ? I need to know if you felt anything" he said, calm as ever. I on the other hand was on the verge of sweating and nervous

"yea, a little" I said, not meeting his eyes

"then what does this mean ?"

"I'm not sure"

He then took a sheet of paper from the notebook that was sitting on his bedside table and quickly wrote something down and passed the note to me. I didn't open it, I just stared at him.

"don't open that until you get home, and if you have any questions you can call Joe" he explained to me. I nodded

"I have to go" I said getting up from his bed. "I'll be sure to read the note" I said before walking out the door.

I walked into my apartment. The note from Nick was still folded into my pocket. I put my mail down onto the table like I did everyday, kicked off my shoes and walked over to Jackson, petting his forehead.

I walked over to the armchair that was next to the door that led to my balcony and slowly took out the note.

I quickly pulled out Joe's pre-programed number in my phone

I heard a group of laughter come into the phone and then Joe started to speak " Kevin that is the weirdest thing ! you say it, then it happens !" everybody stopped to laugh again "everyone say hi to Tiffany"" he said, followed by mumbled "hi Tiffany's"

"Joe take it off speaker you moron" Kevin said

"Kevin, such language infront of the child, and to think it came from her father !" then Joe started to fake cry

"Joe she obviously called for a reason so start talking to her, she's probably bored as ever listening to you babble at us" this was Serena's cooling voice

"how do you know, Serena ? I happen to be pretty smart" Joe replied to that

"Joe, you're the one who thought Nick and Tiffany texting ment both of them making out" Ariel said

I let out one, stray chuckle

"okay Joe, the girls are going to the bathroom and I will be staying with my daughter while you go to the men's room and talk to Tiffany" Kevin said

and so he did... I waited for him to speak
