Sparks

One of One

Silver, green, and black...they sprouted and drooped like dying flowers, once true beauties, but now tossed aside and forgotten.

They moved ever so slightly in the passing breeze, hinting at their former glory with a quick glint or sparkle. Oh how they'd shimmered and glittered, causing awe in all who saw them. They'd streak through the air, brighter than the stars themselves, dancing with the gratification of simply being...

...Their silence now was unnerving...dispairing...

Abandoned and disregarded, they'd drawn back into the shadows, retreating, hiding away from what they could no longer have.

But nonetheless watching...always watching...
