An Eternal Promise
I can remember that day as if I had just lived it. Every last detail of those 24 hours had been carved into my memory, engraved as an immovable tattoo on my skull.
I can still remember the sound of the birds chirping cheerily outside our bedroom window.
I can still taste the coffee he brought me, running down my throat.
I can still feel the cold, hard metal key that his fingers pulled from mine.
I can still hear the sound of the car engine roaring alive, ready to take us to our destination.
Sometimes I wish I could forget.
(I don't usually write slash, but this was a request from a friend)
