Don't Forget, We've Got Unfinished Business

As I stared at him for a good five minutes he then turned to me and said "What? Do I have something on my face?" then I immediately looked to the other direction pretending to examine the pictures on top of my aunt and uncles fire place, then I turned back to him and said "Nothing, It's just that..." I trailed off feeling my whole face get warm.

"Just that?" He pried

"Nothing, this is going to sound really ridiculous and I may sound like a complete idiot" I said while tapping my foot nervously on the floor "But, you have amazing hair. Awesome even." I blurted out

He let out a small laugh and said "Thanks, I work very hard on this masterpiece," He said and then held out his left hand for a shake "I'm Alexander William Gaskarth, but you can just call me Alex"

I grabbed his left hand with my right and replied "Awesome, My name is Megan Addison Reese, you can call me Megan or whatever you'd like to call me." and shook his hand, and I mean shook our arms were flailing all over the place, then after I let go of his hand his arm landed limply at his side and then he grabbed the part just where his shoulder and arm meets and rubbed it in a circular motion while doing that he said

"Wow, you've got quite a unique handshake there, I think you almost took my arm out."

"Yeah, I kinda got tired of the whole formal up and down handshake... It's just so... What's the word?, Boring." I said then looked down at my iPhone that I was cradling in my left hand to see if I had any text messages

"I'll remember that the next time I handshake someone" He said while smiling

"So, what brings you here to my aunt and uncles humble abode?" I asked and looked at him curiously

"Well, my parents dragged me here, I had better things to do you know? Like play X-box but no they had to threaten the poor thing with a pitcher of water, and they're good friends with Pixie and Ron, I wanted to call them by their last names but they insisted, said it makes them feel old, And then my parents wanted to come over to meet Pixie's sister who came back from California, and I am assuming you're her daughter because I have never seen you around before." He explained

"Yeah, they tend to do that. I actually moved out of Maryland about four years ago." I said

"Really? Cause I just moved here four years ago from Essex... That's in England by the way." He said looking surprised

"Oh wow, England eh? Why don't you have an accent then?" I asked

"I kinda got rid of the accent but I still have it, I just don't use it that much." He replied while playing with his fingers

"Oh, okay then."

"I wonder where my friends are, I know their parents dragged them out here too." And as soon as the word 'friends' left his mouth two teenagers about the same age as we were walked in

"There they are!," Alex said as he stood up and went to go greet them "Guys, meet Megan she's the one that got back from California"

"Hi Megan! I'm Zack and this is my annoying little sister." Zack said he had blond curly hair said, he was wearing a simple white v-neck, jeans and converse and the girl had brown straight hair just passed her shoulder and wore a tank top with some denim shorts up to her knees with some chucks

"Hey! I'm only younger by a year and I am not that annoying," the girl stated then hit his arm "I am Sam by the way," She said as she held out her hand and I gave it my unique shake "Wow, awesome handshake. What school are you gonna be going to?"

"Thanks, I was getting bored of the whole up and down one, and I think I am going to Towson High" I replied

Sam then squealed "Yay!, I'm not going to be the only girl in the group! I'm done dealing with you pigs alone! Bwahahah!" and then she did this little happy dance

"Okaaaay, enough soda for you," Alex said "Don't want the five year old getting a sugar rush now do we?," After that last statement Sam jumped on his back and started hitting him in random places "Ow! OW! Stop hitting me! Merrick, get your sister off my back!" Alex then yelled

"Sorry man, this is the most entertainment I've had all night" Zack said while laughing so hard he was clutching his stomach and was almost kneeling

"I agree with Zack," I said while laughing sprawled out on the couch "This is just too funny."

"Dont-" smack "Call-" smack "Me-" smack "A-" smack "Five year old!" then she hopped off his back and hit the back of his head, Zack and I we're almost dying of laughter

"OKAY!, Jeez woman can't take a joke." Alex said while rubbing the back of his head vigorously

After that Zack went to sit next to me on the couch then Alex and Sam raced for the last spot which Alex got and Sam leaped on top of him and sat on his lap which to Alex replied

"You sure you wanna sit there?" While he wiggled his eyebrows with a smirk on his face

"Oh, hell no!" Sam the stood up glared at Alex and lightly hit the side of his head and went to go sit in front of us in one of the single seat couches

"Oh!," Zack exclaimed "I remember something! When me and Sam were kids, our family had this reunion and while we were all at the dinner table eating spaghetti our cousin Dave told this joke and Sam was laughing so hard-"

"Don't you dare finish that story!" Sam said glaring at her older brother from across the room

"A string of spaghetti went up her nose and made its way out her right nostril!" Zack finished then busted out laughing, Alex and I were howling in laughter as well

"HOW DARE YOU ZACK! Don't you know how traumatizing that was? Everyone in our family called me "Pasta Maker" for years." She yelled at him as we were still all laughing

"Okay, okay," Zack said still smiling "I'm sorry but Megan had to hear it."

"Yes and thank you for that Zack. It was a very very nice story." I said trying to stifle a laugh

After that little story time my mom walked in

"Hey, do you guys need anything? Like drinks?" Mom asked

"Yeah, sure mom," I said as I stood up and walked towards her "Guys, this is my mom Victoria."

"Hello Mrs. Addison" Sam said with a smile on her face as she straightened up on the couch she was sitting on and Zack just smiled and gave a little wave

"Oh no, call me Victoria or Vicky and I'm a Ms. thank you very much," Mom said in a happy tone "Alex, nice to see you again! Last time I saw you you were still a boy and had that cute little accent." She said, I looked at her in disbelief, I didn't know she knew Alex before we moved.

"Yes, nice to see you again too Victoria and as you can hear I have lost the cute accent, sorry to let you down." Alex said smiling while still sitting on the couch

"Anyways, I'm off to go get you guys those refreshments, Megan come help me please" Mom said as she turned to me still smiling

"Sure mom. Let's go." I replied as we made our way to the kitchen I saw Uncle Ron talking to a couple friends and he waved to me with a big smile and I waved back with the same smile, he was a fun uncle to be with when we were kids

"So, Megan," Mom said as she reached into the fridge to get four cans of Dr. Pepper "Alex seems like a nice boy." Then she wiggled her eyebrows with a smile on her face

"Ew, mom no. I'm not attracted to him in that way, we're just friends," I said while grabbing the cans of soda "Now, if you don't mind I'm going back now, just call me later when were gonna go home" then walked out of the kitchen back to the living room

"Okay Honey!" Mom yelled back and I actually cringed why did she yell?

When I walked back into the living room they were all laughing at something someone said

"Here ya go," I said as I passed out the drinks and sat back down next to Zack "What did I miss?"

"Nothing, We were just laughing at the picture on top of the fire place" Zack then pointed to the last picture on the right, it was me with my cousin Juliet when I was 7, She was Aunt Pix and Uncle Ron's daughter she was out to college then, The scenery was at a public swimming pool I had a big smile on my face and I didn't have my two front teeth and I had one of those doughnut floaters around my waist and Juliet had a silly face on she was a little bit taller than I was since she's about 3 years older than me.

"Hey!, That's me your all laughing at!" I stated then the laughter just got louder, I let out a little "hmph" as I crossed my arms across my chest and just waited for the laughter to die out after it did

"I'm sorry, Its just that you look ridiculous." Sam said while sipping the last bit of her drink

"Nah, I think she looks cute there" Zack said smiling at me then I felt my cheeks get warm and I just stared at the soda can in my hands

"Oooooh," Alex and Sam said in unison "Zacky got a little crushy!" Alex said then they both laughed out load and when I looked at Zack he was a little red, which kind of looked cute. Luckily mom came in to rescue me

"Megan time to go" She said as she walked in

"Okay," I said as I stood up "Bye guys" I said as I hugged them all and followed my mom out the front door "Hey mom, did you get Jon yet?" I asked

"No, I can't seem to find him go wait in the car" She then tossed the keys to me and went out back to look for Jon

I then made my way to the car, opened it and started the engine. Moments later I saw Mom dragging Jon by his right ear as they made their way to the car, I saw a black BMW pass by and the driver had dark brown hair with some blond highlights put in it, he had a big nose and was quite lanky. He reminded me of one person and one person only

Jack.

I was then snapped out of my staring by Jon getting in the passenger seat and slamming the door and mom getting in as well

"Whoa, what happened to you?" I said as I looked at Jon and he look like he came from the jungle he had a few twigs in his hair and his skin and clothes were a bit dirty

"I was sitting in the tree out back looking at the star then all of a sudden mom here, yells at me from below and I lose my balance and fall about ten feet down." He said while looking in the side mirror and plucking out some leaves

"Yeah, that's why you shouldn't be up in anymore trees." Mom said as she drove home.

When we got home I immediately went upstairs and changed into my pajamas which was a Tommy from Rugrats shirt and some plaid pajama pants and before I went into bed I tied my hair in a loose bun so it wont be wild in the morning, I had school for the first day. To be honest I was a little terrified.
