Clarity.

You don’t always need to be right. Those words struck me deeper than I could have ever thought. I stared down at my toes before looking back at him. He touched my cheek before turning away, his skin twisting, causing creases to form in his neck as his head turned back to face my own. He smiled and walked down the patio steps and straight into the warm rain. And as he waved gently at my body sitting limply on the porch, I thought maybe I should believe him.
