I Never Told a Lie, and That Makes Me a Liar

(Sarah's POV)

"Joe?" I looked at him, dressed very neatly opposed to me, just waking up a second ago, my hair gnarled and my pale natural face.

"Hey." He smiled. The smile that makes my heart melt into a puddle.

"How's Amber doing?" He walked in as I closed the door behind him.

He motioned into the living and sat down on "Amber's" couch.

I miss her... She was like my best friend and it's very quiet around her...

"She's still adapting to the group home. I told you she was in the group home, right?"

He nodded softly.

"Anyways. I got a call two nights ago, when she first moved in, that she spilled something on this Jake kid." I frowned slightly.

"Well, it's for the best, right? You couldn't handle her. She's not your responisblity. You need to take care of yourself." Joe smiled with passion.

Ruining the moment, the door bell rang.

"Nick?" I answered the door, seeing the sad face staring at me.

I shut the door behind him as they came in.

"Where's Amber?" He said, seriously, no hello or what-so-ever.

"Um... her mother and I decided that she would be better off in the group home.

"What?"

"Why!" He practially yelled at me.

"She needs help, Nick. She's not right..." I felt like a backstabber saying that.

"So you put her in with crazy murders?!" He clenched his fist.

"Whoa... Nick... calm down.." Joe said, calmly, trying to straightening Nick's fingers.

"They aren't murders. They are people just like Amber. If you would like, we can go visit her." I smiled, trying to brightening his mood up.

"Let's go now." He said softly, but demanding.

( Amber's POV)

"Amber, sweetie, you have visitors." Mrs. Samuel said, smiling her fake-ass smile.

"Great." I said, half-heartily.

"Amber!" Sarah ran in smiling ever-so much, running to me for a huge but I held my hand up, stopping her.

"I do not assosicate with backstabbers." I looked down.

"Amber..." She said, placing her hand on my shoulder.

"Don't touch me!" I yelled, knocking her hand off, scooting up my bed until my back was against the headboard.

"Hello..." Valerie said, slumming her way to her bed with her annoying, monotone voice.

"Hi." Sarah smiled to Valerie.

Valerie just looked at her with the plain expression she gave everyone.

"Hey." Joe said as he walked into the room with someone following him.

I recognized the person to be Nicholas Jonas.

Joe wrapped on arm around Sarah's waist whispering something to her.

Ugh. Kill me...

I rolled my eyes.

Atlast, my eyes landed on Nick.

"Hey." He said, suddenly, as he noticed I was looking at him.

"Hi."

"How have you been?" I could barely make out what he said.

"Not so good. Thanks for coming..." I mumbled, looking down.

He smiled somewhat.

I heard yelling down the hall and noticed a familar voice.

Jake.

I got up from my bed and walked to the door way.

I looked down the hall and saw Jake arguing with Mrs. Samuel.

"Shut up!" I yelled down at them.

They looked at me but I walked back in and slammed the huge door.

"All better." I smiled.

I glanced over at Valerie, who was talking to Joe.

"Valerie. Here." I said and passed her a pair of socks.

"Your feet are blue from being cold. I told you to wear socks around here."

She took them with a facial expression that looked almost like a smile.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Nick smile.

"Amber." Sarah said, interfering with my thoughts.

"Sarah." I said blandly.

"I'm sorry. It was your mom's decision."

"Is that supposed to be your excuse for putting me in her with these crazy people!" I yelled.

"No I jus--" Sarah started.

"Just get out!" I yelled.

I turned to me and saw Valerie starting to cry.

She doens't like when people yell.

It upsets her and puts her in coma like states when she won't do anything but stare ahead. She was abused and raped by her dad who kill her mom. That's why she doesn't talk much or when she does, she's very quiet and monotone.

"Get out. Now." I looked at them.

Joe, Sarah and Nick walked out, closing the door.

"Val... I'm sorry.." I sat on her bed and hugged her.
