When a reunion several years in the making goes sour, Dario finds himself stuck on a long train ride home to Baltimore where songs and moods cause him to relive memories of his friendship with Hope, a girl doomed to die.
This is the oldest story I have posted on here, written when I was 18 (I'm 22 now). My writing's changed a lot since I wrote this, but people seem to like it.
I've since expanded this story into a novel called "Shadower" which changes some settings and focuses more heavily on the Dario/Hope story.
