I Will Die in the Fear
One.
Never go outside at two in the morning in Las Vegas. You would think that would be common sense for someone who has lived in Vegas their whole life.
Obviously, I have zero common sense.

"Seriously, Jesse, I need to get home." I muttered as he pressed his lips against my neck.
"Come on baby, stay just a bit longer."He pleaded
"No, I need to go. I have to walk home."I got off his bed and straightened my clothes before grabbing my bad off of the floor. "I love you, hon." I kissed his lips quickly before leaving his room and going out the front door.
I knew that if I didn't make the goodbye short he'd drag me back down on the bed. Not that I would reject, but it was bad enough walking home at two in the morning. Any later would be horrible. And a lot colder.
I pulled my elbow length plaid sleeves down as far as I could and wrapped my arms around my waist. It was colder than I expected. Much colder.
"You cold honey?" A voice behind me asked. It was a deep, raspy voice. I froze and glanced around. I decided to go down the alley for a shortcut.
"Come on honey, come with me. It's not cold where I'm at."The man grabbed my shoulder and pushed me against the alley wall. He picked up some of my brown, wavy hair and sniffed it.
"Oh, you smell so much better up close."He murmured
"Get away from me! You creep!"I shouted, shoving him. His chest was hard as stone and icy. He caught my hands and put his face in my neck.
"Now, now. You need to behave."He nipped my neck a bit, then hesitated. He pulled back and allowed me to look at him.
I don't think I'd ever laid eyes on a man that gorgeous. He was kind of dirty; he hadn't shaved in days, but he was so beautiful.
No sooner had I finished that thought his eyes turned red and he sunk his teeth in my neck. I let out a blood curdling scream, then fell to the ground. My world went black.
'And when we get home,
I know we won't be home at all.'
The sound of my phone's ring tone woke me up. I sat up and held my head. It felt like someone had taken hammers and beat my head in with them. I picked up my phone and looked at who called.
Oh God. Mom and Dad called.
I stood up and brushed myself off, picked up my bag (I was surprised it was still there) and finished my walk home. Once I was in the house I called my parents back.
"Yasmine! How are you sweetie?"Dad asked
"I'm okay. Are you two having fun on your little getaway?"I replied
"More than you know, but we missed you so much we decided to come home a bit early."Mom answered"We're actually halfway there, so we should be home by early tomorrow eventing."
"Oh wow! That's awesome!"I exclaimed, climbing the steps to my room.
"Well, we better go. We don't want to interupt the rest of your alone time. We love you, Yaz."Dad said
"Bye guys, love you too."I replied before hanging up.
I put my bag in my chair and pulled my hair back in a ponytail. I searched my head, trying to figure out why I had woken up in the alley. It just didn't make sense. I knew I wasn't robbed because everything I had with me was still there. I had no marks or scrapes. But, I couldn't have just passed out while walking home; I was fine when I left Jesse's.
Oh well. I thought I'm fine, nothing's stole, I'll just forget about it.
I laid on my bed and turned my laptop on. I pulled up MSN and clicked my best friend, Lily's, name.
'Hey you.' I typed
'Hey, where've you been? I went by your house last night but you weren't home.' She replied
'I was at Jesse's until like two.'
'Oh. When are your parents coming home?'
'They're on their way. Said they'll be home tomorrow evening.'
My stomach rumbled. I realized I hadn't eaten since about seven the night before.
'Sweet. I guess you're going to clean some then?' Lily sent
'Yeah, I'm going to have Jesse come over. I'm getting hungry, so I'll call you later.'
'Mmkay. Bye.'
I shut my laptop and changed into some comfy clothes before going downstairs to the kitchen. I looked at the clock and was shocked to see that it was already four in the afternoon. I shook my head and ate a sandwich before heading to the shower.
I turned the hot water on and flipped on the radio then undressed and hopped in. The hot water felt good on my body until I wet my hair down. There was a searing pain in my neck. I quickly got out of the shower and looking in the mirror. There were two marks on my neck; they looked like fangs. A drop of blood oozed from one and I dabbed my finger o it. When i put my finger in front of my face, I had the urge to just drink the blood. I sniffed my finger and quickly licked it.
Why does that taste to good? I thought.
I put a bandage over the marks on my neck and finished my shower, then immediately examined my neck again.
The bite marks were gone.
That's not normal.
I put the bandage back on my neck and went into my room to change into pajamas. I was truly freaked. First waking up in an alley, then weird bite marks appearing, then disappearing. It was all too weird. I didn't know what to do though.
Maybe I was just imagining things.
Yeah, that's it. I haven't had much sleep and my imagination was getting the better of me. Happens to people all the time.
I picked up my phone and dialed Jesse's number quickly. He picked up on the third ring.
"Heyy babe. I was just on my way over."He answered
"Good. i have some creepy crap to tell you."I told him, laying on my bed.
"Well, don't start the creepy stories without me. I'm a block away. I love you."He hung up and withing a few moments I heard him climbing the steps to my room. I was laying face down on my bed, clutching a pillow when he walked in. He laid on the bed next to me and kissed my head, then kept his face in my hair.
"Baby.."He said, I smiled
"Hey.."I mumbled into my pillow.
"You want to tell me what's going on?"He asked.
"Definitely."
Obviously, I have zero common sense.
