"WHAT?!" I dropped my sandwich and almost spilled my milk. When I looked up, Kelsey was waiting patiently for my answer.

"Not that way!" I screeched and noticed about twenty different tables of people looking over at me. Looking past them, I saw Bam, waiting in line to get his lunch. Our eyes connected for a split second before we both looked away.

"I was just wondering, Jess. But you're being defensive." she said slyly.

"Kelsey, nothing is going on between me and Bam. I promise. We're like brother and sister, it would be WAY too weird." I said quickly.

"I was just asking...since you had gone on this entire tangent about how things are different, I wondered if something else was going on." she shrugged as the guys exited the lunch line.

"No. Nothing's going on." I said to her as the guys sat down around us.

Nothing was going on, right? There was no way Bam would like me like that. He couldn't.
