Double Twist of Fate

***Kylie's POV***

Jason walks back into the room and positions himself in front of me again.

"Kylie," he murmurs soothingly. "Please talk to me. I don't care what you say, let's just have a normal conversation." I stare at him until he clears his voice a minute later.

"What's your family like," he asks. My heart tightens up.

"I don't want to talk about my family," I whisper. He glances downward for a split second, thinking.

"What's your favourite book?" I speak without thinking.

"Twilight." He grins a little.

"The vampire book," he chuckles. "Okay, what's your favourite movie besides Twilight?" I take a few seconds to think about it.

"Sweeney Todd." His smile grows a little wider.

"The demon barber?" I nod as a tiny smile forms on my lips.

"Look at that," he says, still soothing. "I got you to smile." His grin grows as mine does the same. Someone knocks on the door from the middle room.

"What," Jason yells. Chad pokes his head in.

"Did you hear anything," he asks.

"Such as?" Chad glances at me.

"Screaming, moaning, shit like that?" Jason tenses up.

"No, we haven't heard anything."

"I think these doors are soundproof, just so you guys know," Chad says, then smirks. "Have fun." He disappears into the middle room as Jason looks back at me with a devious glint in his eyes.
