Back in Halloween Town, Sally was puzzled; Where is Jack?
“I sense there’s something in the wind, that feels like tragedy’s at hand...,” she sang once again. The last time she had felt like this, Jack had almost been blown to bits. Plus, he promised to meet her here a half an hour ago, and Jack always keeps a promise. She waited another 15 minutes, but Jack never showed.
Slowly, her sorrow turned into anger. Why hadn’t he shown? Would he really just show her up like that? How dare he. But, slowly but surely, her anger went to guilt. Had she done something wrong? Was he angry at her? Should she go out to apologize to him? Her guilt ended up winning the battle, making her agree that this must be her fault, so off she went to look around town for him.
