Right before Green Day brought out Dookie, they were in a rut; Billie Joe, Mike, and Tre both lived together with Billie's little sister, Dani, who lived with them do to her step-father's physical and emotional abuse towards her. However, money isn't the number one thing that the guys are pulling in right now, so they start off in a small town-house, but what happens when they can't afford anything after they spend all their money on producing their new album? How do they carry on their lives without a penny?
