Always and Forever

This is an entry for Rocket Queen's Summer of Love Contest. It contains 2375 words and the poem I received was Summer Times by Randi Kuhn. The background image was taken from here.

This story is interconnected with this chapter of Can I Hold Your Heart?.

Death can be interpreted in infinitely many ways. For Aya, it meant a sudden stop, something that can immensely damage one's loved ones and many others. Howie was Aya's first love, first kiss and first everything. He taught her the basics of life and made her the happiest in the world. But his death left a strong impact on her life. Aya suddenly questions her abilities and desire to live.

But everything always happens at the beautiful crescents of summer. Aya later on finds the true meaning of life and the simple joys of feeling the cool wind breeze.
  1. 1.
    And it always will.
