Chapter 11
Evelyn’s POV
The car stopped as we reached the Cullen home and I quickly got out of the car and fell to the ground spreading my arms out I cried
“Land! Sweet stable, un-moving land!” Bella and Jasper laughed behind me as Edward asked
“I don’t drive that bad do I?” I got to my feet and glared at him
“I am never letting you drive me anywhere again, in fact I think you shouldn’t even have a license because no doubt the age is a bit off” they all laughed and I huffed before crossing my arms and waiting for them to finish.
When they had Jasper came over and took my hand putting it through his as he lead me up to the door which Edward and Bella were making their way through.
Upon entering I saw Bella pulling her coat off so I did the same before Edward called out
“guys Evelyn’s here!” we moved to the sitting room where we took a seat and as if out of nowhere a tall blond man who looked only to be about his late 20’s and a woman with long dark hair and a kind face appeared and smiled at me. The woman came forwards and pulled me to my feet hugging me before pulling away keeping her hands on my shoulders she said
“I’m Esme dear, I act as this rabbles mother, I’m so glad you’ve become their friend, it’s good to see Jasper smiling so much” I heard Jasper cough loudly behind me and I saw Esme glance at him amused before she stepped back and I looked at the man who smiled and said
“I’m Carlisle, your mother is the receptionist at the hospital?” I nodded and he grinned “brilliant, I know you have a wonderful home life then” my smile faltered for a second before I grinned and nodded replying
“yeah my mother is the best, I think you guys have to be amazing though to take on this lot” Emmett laughed as he came into the room with Rosalie and said
“hey that’s not nice, we were a lot nicer before you corrupted us” I laughed and rolled my eyes
“yeah because you are corruptible, it’s the other way around” Rosalie giggled
“don’t worry Evelyn he is like this to everyone” I grinned
“I noticed” Esme and Carlisle were looked between us and Carlisle remarked
“it’s good to see you getting along with her Rosalie” Rosalie shrugged and took a seat on the arm of Emmett’s seat before she said
“she’s a very easy person to get along with and well I just know that we have a lot in common” I nodded and Esme smiled in delight.
We all sat in the sitting room getting to know one another with them telling me all about how they are ‘vegetarians’ and how they try to live as normal lives as they can. They told me about their lives and how they have to keep themselves a secret so I can’t tell anyone but I took that as a given anyway considering how the whole of the town doesn’t know which in a small town is hard to accomplish.
They told me about the Quileute’s and how they are shape shifters which they only recently found out when Jacob told Bella after he went through the change.
I soaked in all the information and listened with avid interest to everything they said because it’s not every day you learn that you know a group of vegetarian vampires.
It was nearing the time I had to go home when Rosalie asked
“so when are we gonna turn her?” my head shot up as I looked at her in shock
“turn me?!” Jasper laid a hand on my arm as he calmed my emotions and said to Rosalie
“Rose we aren’t even dating why are you asking this?” Rosalie shrugged and said
“you know the rules she has to be turned some time and I mean it’s obvious she will be so I just wanna know when” I sat there in stunned silence as Jasper shook his head and said
“Rose I’m not going to turn her any time soon, I mean it would be silly to do it now” Rosalie shrugged and sat back and I looked at Jasper who saw the look on my face and pulled me to my feet before taking me out of the room.
In the hall he turned to me and I asked in a shocked voice
“you have to turn me?” he nodded and I let out a breath as I said “wow” he nodded and said
“I don’t have to do it any time soon and if we could hide it form the Volturi I probably wouldn’t have to do it at all” I nodded and said
“this is a lot to think about” he nodded and pulled me into his arms where he hugged me. As I hugged back he lent down and whispered in my ear
“about that going out thing?” I looked up at him and smiled
“what about it?” I asked and he smiled before asking
“So do you want to?” I looked at him playfully and asked
“Do I want to what?” he sighed exasperatedly
“you’re going to make me actually ask it?” I nodded and he sighed before asking “will you be my girlfriend?” I nodded and lent up and kissed him on the lips.
I heard a loud cheer come from the sitting room and we pulled away and laughed before he took my hand and pulled me back into the sitting room where they all looked at us with large grins and Bella rushed over to me saying
“Congratulations” I laughed and hugged her before Rosalie got up and grinned saying
“you are so going to be turned” I shrugged non-committal and we went back to being congratulated for our new relationship.
Edward and Jasper dropped Bella and I off later that night and I walked into the house like I was floating and Mom grinned saying
“have a good day I take it?” I sighed dreamily and replied
“yeah, I’m going out with Jasper” Mom laughed and hugged me
“that’s good honey, I hope it goes well” I nodded before I kissed her good night and headed upstairs where I changed and got into bed, falling into a deep contented sleep.
