Addicting Emotions

Evelyn’s POV

It was yet another cold winter’s morning that I was sat on my swing cradling a cup of hot chocolate to my chest when I heard an engine roar up then cut out, I knew the sound to be Bella’s truck so I just sat there and waited for her to appear.
She soon stumbled her way towards me bundled up in a padded coat with gloves and a scarf and she smiled when she saw me sat there. Sitting next to me she asked
“how’s it going?” I shrugged and replied
“it’s going well, do you want a drink?” I asked holding my mug up and she smiled gratefully and took it taking a swallow though she moaned when she burned her tongue. I just shook my head while she stuck her tongue out into the air to cool off.
When she had made it sufficiently numb she turned to me and said
“go and put a coat on” I looked at her and raised a brow before asking
“why?” Bella rolled her eyes and said
“because you are coming with me to La Push” I shook my head and replied
“no way, I don’t want to go to the reservation Bella” Bella groaned and pleaded
“please go with me! The guys are taking me cliff diving and I don’t want to go alone” I looked at her confused and asked
“why are they cliff diving in the middle of winter?” Bella shrugged and said
“they have like a really high temperature so it doesn’t really affect them and Jacob invited me and I couldn’t say no so please come with me” I shook my head
“why couldn’t you say no Bella? Any rational person would say no” Bella sighed before she looked at me and I could see desperation in her eyes
“I found out that when I do crazy things I can see Edward” I raised a brow and went to speak but she carried on “I don’t mean like he races to my aid or anything but I can picture him and I can hear his voice in my head, you know what I mean?” I sighed and shook my head no but replied
“Bella I don’t know what you mean but I get what you’re trying to say, so you want to do this crazy stunt so you can feel closer to Edward again?” she nodded and I bit my lip as I thought about it. I don’t like to do crazy things that could kill me but if this helps Bella and I could see that she was trying to make it so by the desperate look in her eyes then I could do no more than help my friend.
I nodded and got to my feet and said
“go wait in your car and heat it up, I’ll put on something I can get wet in and grab a change of clothes and a coat” Bella smiled and hugged me. Pulling back she said
“I know you don’t really want to do this but I’m glad you care about me enough to and I hope that this can at least make you happy in some way, it’s been hard watching you so sad” I nodded and she left me to go to her car.
I went into the house and changed into some jeans and a long sleeved black t-shirt with a thick Grey bat wing jumper over the top before I pulled on some heavy black hiking boots and I grabbed a change of clothes before I grabbed a thick parka then I went into the kitchen and left a note for mom telling her I was with Bella before I headed out and got in Bella’s truck and we set off for the Reservation.
Arriving at the top of a mountain Bella stopped the truck and we hopped out. I looked around but couldn’t see anyone and Bella said
“we have to walk a little way, I hope you don’t mind?” I shook my head and we set off with Bella leading the way. I knew she must have been here before because she has a terrible sense of direction so if she hadn’t been before I knew we would have gotten lost.
We turned a corner and before us I saw the edge of the cliff where a group of boys and a couple of girls stood looking over the edge and messing around with each other.
I recognized Jacob from that night I bumped into him and Bella rushed over to him when we got there
“Jacob!” she shouted and he turned to us with a grin when he saw Bella and jogged towards us. I didn’t really pay attention as he and Bella talked until Bella tugged my sleeve and said
“this is Eve” Jacob nodded and I said
“we’ve met” Bella raised a brow and I waved it off saying
“I bumped into him once when I went past your house” she nodded and Jacob smiled before he looked at Bella and I could see his interest in her in his eyes as he asked
“so are you ready for this?” Bella laughed and shook her head
“no but I brought Eve with me for support” Jacob laughed a bark like laugh and I looked at him strangely before I ignored him.
Eventually we took a seat on the ground and watched as each of the guys jumped straight off the edge and into the water below creating a large splash before they swam out and climbed the natural staircase and made their way back to the top.
After about an hour of watching them do this Jacob turned to Bella and said
“your turn” I saw Bella take a deep breath before she turned to me and gave me a nervous smile as she asked
“are you coming?” I nodded stiffly and she turned to Jacob and they discussed how to do it.
We got up and I took off my parka, Bella doing the same before we walked over to the edge. Jacob pointed out the best place to aim to land and Bella listened with interest as I just looked down at the dark water. It wasn’t really calm and in fact the waves were quite large but I had seen the guys come back un-harmed so it couldn’t be that dangerous.
Bella finally turned to me as Jacob stepped to the side and she said
“are we really doing this?” I looked at her and said
“it was your idea so if you want to do it we’ll do it, there has to be another way for you to do this or you could forget him” Bella frowned and asked
“Can you forget Jasper?” I sighed and looked out at the water again before replying softly
“no” Bella nodded and turning towards the edge she said
“right let’s do this” I nodded and we reached for one another’s hand before I counted to three before we jumped out into nothingness.

Alice’s POV

I gasped as I came out of a vision and shouted
“Edward! Jasper! Come quickly!” they appeared in seconds and Draven was there holding my hand looking at me worriedly. Edward and Jasper both looked rather expressionless as Edward asked
“what is it Alice?” I put a trembling hand to my mouth as I answered
“I just- I just saw” Jasper glanced at me and I felt myself calm down, I looked at him gratefully and he nodded stiffly before I carried on “it’s Bella and Evelyn” they both perked up at this and Edward asked excitedly
“what? What did you see?” I swallowed deeply and said quietly
“I saw them holding hands and jumping off a cliff” both of their faces fell and you could plainly see the heartbreaking distress on their faces as Jasper shook his head and said
“no, they wouldn’t, Evie wouldn’t kill herself, she doesn’t like it” I shook my head and said
“it’s what I saw Jaz” he shook his head again before he walked over and punched a wall, the wall near caving in where his fist hit it and spider cracks went in every direction from it.
Edward stood there looking at the floor before he looked up and said
“I’m going to Italy” Jasper looked at him as did Draven and I and I asked slowly
“why?” Edward shrugged
“I have nothing to live for any more, I wanted to make Bella safe but she just killed herself, I have no reason any more so I’m going to the Volturi and I’m getting them to kill me” I gasped and Draven shook his head saying
“don’t be too rash Edward” Jasper chuckled
“rash? I think it’s a perfect idea” I looked at Jasper and said
“not you as well, you can’t go and get yourselves killed, you just can’t” Edward shook his head
“my mind is made up and I’m going, are you coming Jasper?” Jasper nodded and then he and Edward disappeared from sight.
I looked at Draven and he hugged me tight to him, I was devastated that my family was killing themselves.
Just then another vision hit me

Evelyn’s POV

I kicked up taking Bella with me and we broke the surface with a gasp. Looking towards Bella I asked
“did you get what you needed?” she nodded with her teeth chattering and I nodded back before swimming to the edge of the water so we could climb out and head back to the top.

Alice’s POV

I gasped again and grabbing Draven I said
“we have to stop them!” he looked at me confused and asked
“why?” I shook my head and moaned
“my vision got messed up because of whatever’s blocking it, they aren’t dead they just dived into water” Draven looked at me in understanding before he said
“they will have already made their way to an airport or something by now, we won’t catch them” I nodded and pulling his hand I said
“we just have to go and get the girls and take them with us so we can hopefully stop them” and I did hope we could get there in time.
