Green Apples Turned Red
I woke up completely drained. I couldn't explain it but I just did, I stumbled to the bathroom and had to cover my eyes. The bathroom I had was extremely white like the bathroom in Psycho so it was painful to walk in it. I went over to my sink and open the mirror cabinet to get my toothpaste, the minute I closed it in a split second I thought I saw Gerard's face. I jumped and turned to look, but nothing was there, I turned back to the mirror and saw nothing.
"Just my imagination" I said to myself when I noticed something on my neck, the side where I felt the pain. I pulled up my hair and saw what appeared to be the biggest hickey I ever saw, but something was off, I saw two holes on my neck.
At first I thought "Did he bite me?" sort of remembering last night, then I shook it out of my mind and said to myself "it's nothing" and covered it up with a scarf.
I walked out of the house to tend the apple tree. Once I got there I noticed something different, the apples completely changed colored from green to red. I looked at it in curiosity and picked one off the tree. I studied it clearly and figured it was ripe so I tasted it, then suddenly had to spit it out, I looked down and saw the red apple bleeding...with real blood. I dropped the apple then heard the sound of Blue running to me
"Rhi'!" she said "Get away from that tree!"
I walked to her and asked "Why?"
She quickly took my hand and drug me out of the grave yard. "It’s a sign" she said throwing her Witch knowledge on me "a sign that the vampires are indeed returning to Vamptopia" I looked at her then saw her noticing I was wearing a scarf, and it was a rather warm day.
"Let me see your neck" she said in a tone, I looked at her again and she demanded "NOW" and I undid the scarf to show the bite
She gasped covering her mouth "Oh my God" she said "It's already happening"
I thought she has gone crazy and asked "what? What do you mean?" She looked at me with eyes of fear
"One of the vampires are already slowly draining you" then it seemed so clear. But why?
As if reading my mind she said "Vampires never drain humans, the reasons are two things, either they are desperate and will feed if necessary or..." then she stopped mid-sentence looking at me about to scream
"Or what Blue" I said to her wanting an answer then she breathes out "They picked a life partner".
The last part made my heart jump to my throat, Life Partner? Gerard was either feeding off me for last minute food or making me his in his own special way.
"w-what should I do?" I asked her nervous.
"Lock your windows, doors and your balcony" she said holding on to my hand "No matter what you hear, or see, don’t give in understand?" I nodded at her, I was terrified but something else was burring deep in my stomach:
Curiosity.
