Ivy's New Love

-Matt's P.O.V-

"Matt, what are you doing?", Val said smiling as
I was playing with my now 5 year old daughter Ivy Jade. " Mommy tell
daddy to stop tickeling me", she said in between laughs. " Come on
baby, let's go get you cleaned up and ready for bed", Val said as she
grabbed Ivy's hand and walked upstairs." Goodnight daddy, I love you",
" Goodnight baby girl, I love you too", I said as I walked into the
kitchen.
Me and my girlfriend Val have been together since the 6th
grade. She means everything to me, and so does Ivy. When I was 14 and
Val was 13, she got pregnant. Yeah, I know we were really young but, we
love eachother unconditionaly. Im 18 right now and Val is 17. We are
living in an apartment in Huntington Beach along with my roommate
Jimmy. It's pretty tough raising a hyperactive 5 year old, but we have
help. Anywho, me and Jimmy are in a band with 3 of our good friends
Zacky, Johnny and Brian. Right now, i'd say life is on the good side.

" Baby, don't forget that Ivy has a doctors appointment tomorrow at
10:30, ok", Val said as she sat next to me on the couch. " I wont
forget", I said as I flicked through the channels on the TV. " Wait,
Matt put it back!" Jimmy said as he sipped his beer pointing at the
television. " I love this video!" he said. " Well Jimmy, we're going to
bed now", I said as me and Val walked out of the living room. " Night
fuckers, see you on the other side", he said as we started laughing. We
both walked into the bed room to find Ivy passed out on our bed sucking
her thumb. She always did that when we weren't around. " Aww, she looks
just like you Matt", Val said as she gently pushed her to the middle of
the bed. " Yeah, she does huh?", I said as I pulled the blanket over
us. " I love you Matt", Val said as she turned the light off. " I love
you too baby, goodnight." "Night", And we both fell fast asleep cuddled
up with our daughter

-The Next Day-

" Ivy, baby it's
time to wake up", I said as I gently shook her awake. " Five more
minutes daddy, please?", she asked as she rubbed her eyes. " Im sorry
love but you have to get ready to go to the doctors, remember?", " Ok,
im up", she said as she held out her hands for me to pick her up. "
Let's go brush your teeth and then get something to eat". With that
being said, we brushed our teeth, got dressed and headed downstairs to
eat. " What do you want for breakfast?", I asked her. " I want
oatmeal", she said as she sat in her chair picking her nose. " You
better not put that finger in your mouth missy", I said laughing. " Im
not, im not!", she replied embarresed. " Ok, so then what flavor do you
want?", " I want strawbewies", she said miss pronouncing the word which
was too cute. " Daddy, where's mama?", she asked as she picked at her
food. " Mama's in school baby", " Is she coming to the doctors with
me?", she said as she took as sip of her juice. " No, but uncle Jimmy
is.", " Yay! I love uncle Jimmy", she said as she threw her hands up. "
Well, I love you too babes", Jimmy said as he hugged her from behind
and she giggled. " Daddy, I don't want no more", she said as she handed
me the plate. " Alright then, let's get the steppin", I said as I put
the dish in the sink and we headed out the door and into my car. Jimmy
put Ivy in her car seat as I started the car. Then we were off to the
doctors office.
