Status: I came second :) FREAKIN AAAAA.

The Nerve, The Words.

Maple Avenue held the kind of eerie silence that only came with five am on a Sunday morning and the street stood completely deserted, bar a tall figure hunched over the rail of his porch. His mousey brown hair was stuck out at a dozen different angles; peppered with blonde from the relentless Arizona sun, and he was wearing nothing but a pair of royal blue sweats cut at the knee and a dazed; somewhat pained, expression.

You would have to be mere steps away to notice the cell phone clutched to his right ear; an iPhone he still didn’t quite know how to use and was yet to fully understand the purpose of, and even closer still, to hear his hushed voice as he spoke into it. “Please, just tell me where you are”

John O’Callaghan didn’t care to argue with anyone. John O’Callaghan hated to argue with her…well her answering machine, at least.
