Chapter 11
[Lindsey's POV]

"G-- Gerard.." I said.

He took his lips and hands off the girl in front of him.

"I.. Uh... Lindsey... I-it's not what it looks like."

I felt my heart rip into shreds and it felt like someone punched me in the stomach. I felt my eyes well up with tears. I took the so-called promise ring off and threw it.

"FUCK YOU! I TRUSTED YOU WITH EVERYTHING I HAVE!"

I ran out of the house and down to the park. I sat on the bench and cried my eyes out until I
slowly fell asleep.
I slowly opened my eyes and looked around me. I wasn't in the park... I was in Gerard's room.. I felt someones arms wrapped around me. I turned over and saw Gerard was next to me. I got up and ran out the door and straight back to the park. I sat on the swing and started to cry. I was so drunk last night, I don't remember how I remembered what happened last night. I don't know how long I was crying for, but I heard footsteps. I didn't look up.

"Lindsey.. Let me explain." I heard a voice say.

I looked up, and was staring into those hazel eyes I knew way to well.

"Gerard! Get the fuck away from me!" I screamed.

"Please Lindsey. Listen to me!" Gerard begged.

I let out a small sob. Gerard got down on both of his knees.

"Lindsey, I'm so sorry. She kissed me. I swear. I didn't kiss her." He said.

He put his hands in mine.

"Lindsey please. You have to believe me. I wouldn't hurt you if someone had a gun to my
head and had me bound."

I put my head down and started sobbing.

"I'm not believing you, Gerard."

"Please! You have to! I can't live without you. You are the air I breathe. You are the one that
keeps my heart beating." He said.

I looked up at him. He had tears brimming his eyes. He wiped away the tears off my eyes. I
wiped the tears brimming his eyes.

"Gerard. You're not allowed to cry over me.." I said.

"Why?"

"Because... I'm not worth it.."

"Lindsey Marie. You are worth every tear I cry. No matter if they are happy tears or sad tears.
You mean more to me then anyone in the whole world."

[Normal POV]

"No. I'm not." Lindsey said.

She started to cry more. Gerard wrapped his arms around her. Lindsey dropped to her
knees and cried into Gerard's shoulder.

"I'm so fucking sorry, Lindsey."

Lindsey just cried into Gerard's shoulder. He let a few tears escape from his eyes. He pulled
Lindsey away from him and looked at her in the eyes.

"Please.. Forgive me."

She looked at him and gave him a weak smile.

"Okay.. I forgive you." She said, weakly.

They both stood up, Gerard smiled and kissed her, she kissed him back.

"Do you want this back," He asked, pulling out her promise ring, "Or.. do you want this?"

He pulled out a small diamond ring. Lindsey gasped at looked at him. He got down on one
knee.

"Lindsey. I know we haven't been dating for very long, but I've known you forever.. But, I don't
care. Will you marry me?"

"Oh Gerard." She gasped.

He smiled at her. She smiled at him.

"Yes. I will." She said.

Gerard smiled and put the ring on her finger. He stood up and threw his arms around
Lindsey. He felt her body shake.

"Will you stop crying?" He laughed.

"I can't help it." She laughed.

"I love you so much." Gerard said.

Lindsey smiled and Gerard kissed her softly. She kissed him back. Gerard ran his tongue
across her bottom lip, she granted his wish. Their tongues danced together. They were like that for a few more seconds when Lindsey pulled away.

"What's wrong?" Gerard asked.

"I love you, too."

"Lets head home."

Lindsey nodded and Gerard wrapped his arms around her. They walked home. Once they
walked into the door, Mikey stared at them.

"What the hell? I thought you were going to hate Gerard for the rest of your life?" Mikey said.

"No. I can't hate him. I love him more than life." Lindsey said.

"So, you don't care if he broke your heart?"

"Mikey... I really don't feel like talking about this anymore.." Lindsey choked back.

"Why? Because you know its true?!" Mikey basically yelled.

"No, that's not why." Lindsey said, a few tears escaping.

Gerard held Lindsey close to him as she cried into his chest.

"Why then?"

"Mikey, leave her alone!" Gerard screamed.

"No! I'm not fucking going to, Gerard! You fucking hurt her!"

"WHY THE HELL DO YOU CARE SO MUCH?!" Gerard yelled.

"BECAUSE! I FUCKING LIKE HER!"
