Into Your Arms

"Today has been a wreck so far" I said, exhaling a sigh from beside of John in the passenger seat. He had picked me up for our date nearly ten minutes ago.
"That it has" he said with a laugh, though his tone was more carefree than mine had been. "What do ya say we make tonight the opposite?"

That's the thing that I loved about John: he was so laid back and eager to be optimistic. There was never any pressure when I was with him. Things just were. And for once in my life, that was exactly what I needed.

I agreed quickly and so, we were off to an unknown destination, letting Brand New fill our ears.
