I Held The Rose Gingerly In My Hand,Observing It Curiously.It Was A Red Rose Holding A Small Note Tied With A Small Black Satin Bow.I Opened The Note Slowly And Unfolded It.

A Small Kindness,An Act Of Compassion And Mercy,This I Hold Gingerly In My Hand.Fear Not Love,For I Shall Guide You Through The Darkness..

I Read The Note Several Times Before Putting It In My Pocket.I Continued Walking Through The Empty Streets,Watching All The Streetlights Flicker Continuosly.

Slowly,Rain Started To Pour From The Heavens And Lighting Flashed Through The Skies,Brightening The Street For A Few Moments.

After An Hour's Walk,I Reached The Gates That Lead Into The Cementery.I Slipped Through And Made My Way Into The Darkness,Staring At The Snow Covered Ground Below My Feet.

"Come"A Voice Whisper Slowly.I Turned Around To Find A Tall Man.He Was As White As The Snow,Making His Hair & Clothes Stark Against His Skin.I Stared Absentmindedly Into His Gray Eyes,That Seemed To Hold A Great Secret Within Their Depts.

His Eyes Were So Hypnotizing,I Couldn't Break Away From Their Strong Spell.It Felt As If Time Froze In It's Place,And Everything Seemed To Stand Still.

He Held My Hand Gingerly In His,Lacing Our Fingers Together While Slowly Moving Us Around The Graveyard.Slowly He Began To Increase The Speed Of The Dance,Never Freeing My Eyes From His Mysterious Spell.

Even The Most Heartless Of Men,Will Fall Under Her Spell.But Only He,Who Shall Forever Remain Souless Shall Win Her Heart...

Slowly He Brought Us To A Stop,Releasing My Hand And Placing A Single Red Rose In It.It Was An Indentical Rose To The One I Received With The Strange Note.

With The Simplest Of Acts,He Shall Steal Her Away From The Earth And Show Her A New World..

I Took Out The Note I Found Earlier,Letting My Eyes Scan The Words Once More.I Looked Up At Him And Watched As A Gentle Smile Took Over His Features.

"I Have Never Been One For Compassion Or Mercy,But For You My Love,There's Nothing I Wouldn't Do.This Is The Ultimate Expression Of Love,A Kindness"He Took Hold Of My Hand Once More,Staring At Me Lovingly With The Softest Of Expressions.I Watched As Blood Seeped Through Our Hands And Fell Onto The Snow Covered Ground.

"Kindness?"I Asked.He Brought Me Closer,Until Our Faces Were Centimeters Apart.

"Yes,A Kindness."He Whispered Lowly.I Stared Into His Eyes Once More,Losing Myself In Their Depts.

"Come With Me?"He Asked Pleadingly.His Eyes Become Foggy With Such Loneliness That It Tore At My Very Being.I Couldn't Help But Want To Make This Go Away,To Aleviate His Pain.

"Yes"I Said.He Closed The Distance Between Us And Kissed Me So Lovingly That I Couldn't Help But Allow the Tears To Fall From My Eyes.For Once,I Felt Loved,Cherished.the Loneliness That Reigned In My Life Dissapear.

My Vision Started To Blur,My Senses Becoming Numb.I Couldn't Feel Anything But The Bliss That Took Over My Being.Finally,I Was At Peace.

"This Is My Kindness."

And That Night,I Vanished From The Land Of The Living.
