Time Is Galleons

The Burrow

It was exactly two weeks from the start of summer holidays. I had a total of thirty-one letters from George and nineteen letters from Fred. In those two deranged weeks, I spent it back in the States. My grandmother had missed my dad and I greatly. She was one of those cat women. Having about fifteen cats in someone's house would make them one. Her house never did smell like cats, though. How she kept it so clean with that many pets was unclear to me. The elderly woman was a Muggle, no House Elf to do the work, no magic to clean. Just good old hard work.

Back in the States you were allowed to do magic at home if a parent was present. Luckily, my dad was there. My grandmother had loved when I showed her what I learned at school, in spite of missing at least a month. Light would always fill the room. Often, I would use magic to play with the cats. Ever tried using a laser pointer with a cat? Take how funny that is, and times it by a million, and that's how funny it is with cats.

But, nevertheless, I was home. Father had granted me permission to stay at the Burrow for the rest of the summer. Though, I had to go home for Diagon Alley shopping days.

As I finished packing, I put on a black and white plaid shirt. It had black lace trailing on the top of the chest seaming. For pants, I had dark blue jean shorts, it looked like the pant legs were ripped off. The extra string tickled my tan thighs. My grey Converse high-tops covered my ankles. And to top off the rest of my outfit, I was wearing a gold necklace with a key on it. George had given it to me on Christmas of last year, my third year and his fifth year. He told me there was something else to that present, but till this day, he still hasn't told me. But he said someday, when the time is right, he'll tell me. Who knows how long that could take!

I decided to walk to the Burrow from my house. My dad had put a charm on my backpack, making it able to hold an endless amount of things, he knew I liked to carry light, not heavy. Riku was right next to me, walking. He didn't need a cage or anything, outside, he never left my side. He was my best friend, I loved that cat. About thirty-five minutes of walking, I reached the Burrow. When I reached the door, I pat Riku's head before knocking at the door.

I smiled until I saw Percy standing at the door with a hauteur look on his face. "Yes?"

I gulped the air and grew nervous rapidly. I had never really talked to Percy, and he never really seemed to like me. "I-I'm here to stay the rest of the summer. . ."

"Oh, right, George's girlfriend? Come on, then."

My face filled with heat, red covering my face. "I-I'm not his girlfriend! I'm his b-best friend. . ."

Percy turned around, sniggering. "Right, is that what you said when he gave you that Christmas present last year? I don't think someone would give something of that expense to just a friend when he has little money to begin with. Well, I'll let you let yourself in, then. I'm sure you know your way around our house by now." With that, Percy left.

I slowly walked in, Riku had already ran in the house, probably running into Fred and George's room, laying down at the end of George's bed; his favourite spot. I knew he was up there because by the time I shut the door quietly, the twins were running down, racing to greet me.

"Abbie!" They chimed.

"Fred, George!" I ran up to them, hugging them both at the same time. "I've missed you both!"

"We've missed you, too."

"Abbigail!" Hermione practically screamed as she ran my way, pushing the twins out of the way to hug me. I giggled as I embraced her in the hug, smiling.

" 'Mione, how's your summer been?"

"Great, actually. I've been here mostly with Ron and Harry, they should be down here any minute."

"Hermione, get out of the way," Ron ordered as he smirked, Hermione laughed slightly as she moved to the side.

"Hi, Ron."

"Hey," he pulled me into a hug. Ron and I had gotten closer in our third year.

I gave Harry, Ginny and Mrs. Weasley a hug before George grabbed my bag, and Fred grabbed my hand, dragging me up the stairs. When we reached the floor with the twin's room, Fred let go of my hand and opened the door. Without even noticing Louise, I jumped on George's bed and spread out. "How I've missed this comfy bed," I laughed out. George walked over to me and dropped my bag on stomach. I quickly grabbed it and threw it at him, laughing even more. Riku had jumped off George's bed and landed on Fred's. I looked over and saw Louise. "Hey, Loui—" I was cut off by George throwing a pillow at my face. Slowly rising into a sitting position, the pillow falling into my lap, I shot a death glare at George. "George Weasley! You. Are. Dead!" I ran and started chasing George, whom already had booked it out the door and was laughing. As we ran down the stairs, I jumped on George's back. Quickly, he caught me and almost fell but kept his balance. The older twin put his hands under my thighs as he carried me into the kitchen.

As soon as George and I reached there, Mr. Weasley was walking in from work. "Hi, Mr. Weasley!"

"Oh, hello, Abbigail! I see you've already had to chase George for something. Long time no see. Alright, your dad? I haven't seen him since he's on vacation."

"He's doing well, expect to see him tomorrow at work."

Mr. Weasley gave me a smile and nodded, "I'll be looking for him." Mr. Weasley had became best friends while at work.

"Alright, see you, dad. I'm gonna go throw Abbie into the lake for jumping on my back. If you hear screaming, don't be alarmed."

"George Weasley!" Mrs. Weasley yelled at him. I couldn't help but laugh.

"At least have the decency to let me put on my bathing suit!"

"Fine, fine. After that, then can I throw her in the lake without getting yelled at?"

"No."

"Alright, Abbie, go put your bathing suit on." He let me down as his parents shook their head.

I ran up the stairs, knocking at the door before walking in to grab my bag. I saw Fred and Louise on Fred's bed, kissing. I coughed. Nothing. They just continued their business. Shaking my head, I found my bag on the floor and coughed once more as I reached the door way. "For Merlin's sake, stop snogging already! Fred, you're gonna suck the life out of her face if you keep it up."

After getting changed into a bathing suit, I found George sitting at the table in only his swimming trunks. I blushed slightly, trying not to look at his body. I still had my clothes over my bathing suit. I didn't want to parade my body around their house. George got up, towering over me, he was nearing 6'1" now. I was only 5'2" and probably only had about a few more inches till I was done growing.

Before I knew it, George threw me over his shoulder. I started to squirm. As we made our way out of the house and into the warm sun, he spoke, "Stop squirming or I'm gonna drop you!"

"No, you won't!"

". . .You wanna bet?"

"No, no. I'm fine up here, thank you."

"That's what I thought, my dear."

"Nice butt, by the way. Lovely from this angle," I couldn't help but laugh out, slightly blushing.

"You're one to talk." He patted mine a couple times and we both laughed hard. The lake was beautiful and huge. The sun was bouncing off the water, causing the water to glisten like diamonds. George carefully laid me on the grass as he looked into my eyes, slowly pushing a piece of hair that was in my face to behind my ear. "Hurry up and take your clothes off," he winked.

"George, you're a pervert!"

"Actually, dear, the pervert is you, I only meant take off your clothes so I could throw you in the lake."

"Right you did! Liar!"

"Would I ever lie to you?"

"Yes."

". . .Well, come on then." He stood up straight. George watched me in the corner of his eyes as I took off my shorts and shirt. I knew he watched, but he didn't know I knew. I couldn't help but to blush. I had a white and blue stripped bikini on.

"Can you take off my necklace for me?"

"Sure." He looked at my chest, "Oh, bugger, when did you grow a chest?"

This made me blush deeply. "Uh. . .when I hit puberty? Girls tend to do that, George."

"Where was I?!"

"Being a barmy dim wit. Even I knew she did last year, and I don't look at her chest." Fred said all of a sudden when he walked out, hand and hand, with Louise.

"Then how would you notice?" George seemed to get slightly jealous. It made me want to laugh so bad.

"George, it's very easy to tell when a girl goes from as flat as a piece of wood to having a chest."

". . .Can we stop talking about my boobs? That would be appreciated."

"Right," George picked me over his shoulder once more after taking off my necklace and ran towards the lake. When he was in about waist length(which only took a matter of seconds) he threw me in.

As soon as I stood up in the lake, I splashed him. George and I splashed each other for minutes, eventually, he got Louise by accident. And little did we know that this would start a splash war. It soon became Fred and I against Louise and George. I hid behind Fred and laughed, taking cover. I wiped my eyes and leaned against him smiling. Right when I learned against him, I slipped on a rock, causing both him and I to fall in the water. That day was more than fun.
