She Loves Me, He Hates Me

Pink Glitter

Johnny, after running into Emmy for the first time, went back to his locker to garb his pre-cal book for his next class. In this he took his sweet time walking because he knew exactly what the class was going to be like, and besides, it was the first day meaning no one was counted tardy. As he walked to his locker, he saw a pink envelope taped on his locker with Johnny’s mane on it. ’How did she know where my locker was? It’s only the first day of school for crying out loud.’ he thought as he ripped the tape off his locker and opened the pink envelope.

Inside he find an invite from his newest friend Abby whom he met at a show at BG’s over the summer that he was playing with his band called Abelard‘s Secret. The name came from a story the lead singer, Johnny’s friend Sebastian heard on the History Channel on Valentine’s Day. Now Sebastian was trying to conjure up a name but nothing came to mind until the fourteenth of February. Abelard had been a French monk in Paris who fell for a woman named Eloise. It was one of those forbidden loves and it gave Sebastian the idea of a band name that now one could take. That was when Abelard’s Secret was created. He was not so open about the name’s origin at first to his band mates, but when the story leaked, everyone still loved it.

The invitation said something about an annual back to school party written with pink glitter that kept falling around his locker. That’s when he wondered if Emmy was coming to the party as well. ’They’re best friends, why the heck not?’ he thought. A little note hand written at the bottom said “Bring our friend Zach as well. Oh and if you‘re wondering how I knew where your locker was, I have connections with the office aide. XD” Since all of the writing started with curvy cursive that could only belong to Abby alone. ‘I’m most defiantly going.’ Johnny thought and with that the bell rang.

Sorry that the last two chapter's were kinda short, but I want to get everyone's perspective before I get to the good stuff.
