Lost In You

The kiss broke and I looked from Gerard to Hayden and back again. The confusion wasn't ending. Why did Hayden bring me here for Gerard to kiss me when he himself was in love with me? Unless Hayden didn't really love me and it was only for the heat of the moment? Or maybe there's a simplier explanation and I'm over thinking things to the extreme?

"I don't understand..." I began.

"Don't understand what?" Hayden asked.

"Everything. Like, why did yo take me here when you could easily have me?" Gerard looked a bit hurt.

"Ahh my dear Frankie..." he slowly walked up to me and embraced me in his strong arms adding a kiss on my head. "I do love you very much but I'm not the one you like. You like Gee and if I truly loved you then I would want you to be happy, yes?" I pulled out of the hug.

"Yeah I guess, but why did you lie Gerard?" Gerard began to shuffle a little bit and avoid eye contact.

"I'm sorry Frank, I honestly know nothing about relationships and I just... panicked."

"Is that a lie?" I looked between Gerard and Hayden and they both shook their heads no. "So you lied to me and framed Hayden?"

"That's what best friends are for." Hayden shrugged.

"Best friends?" I frowned.

"Remember how I said Gee was part of The Crew?" I nodded. "Didn't mean he wasn't my best friend anymore. Like, sure after I murdered my parents we stopped talking but whenever people picked on him I defended him."

"I just wanted out of The Skeleton Crew and I just wanted to take care of myself." Gerard admitted.

"Do you understand now Frankie?"

"I think so... but why do you want me to be in The Skeleton Crew?" Hayden smiled slightly. At first I thought he was so scary but I've seen the soft side of Hayden Vicious. He might have been a killer but he was as harmless as a kitten, meaning he still had claws but... you get the point.

"I just wanted to be close to you sugar and besides, you were too much of a sissy. Have you noticed how much you've changed. Your more outgoing and you look happier."

"Yeah, I think you're right." I smiled. Gerard and Hayden both grinned. Hayden went and unlocked the classroom door and walked out into the hallway. It still smelt of cake even from upstairs. As we were exiting Gerard took my hand and I stopped and looked at him.

"Does this mean you'll go out with me since everything is all cleared up?" his eyes were begging.

"No more lies?" I asked.

"No more lies, I promise." he smiled reasuringly.

"Then yes!" and we hugged.
