Lost In You
Drawings
"Hey Gerard." I said cheerfully when I sat down in art. It was monday today and my weekends was highly uneventful.
"Hi." he didn't look up from a doodle he was working on. He didn't shut the book when I sat down anymore. "
"How was your weekend?" I asked and tilted my head to see the drawing better. It was of a little vampire?
"Fine." he grunted.
"What did you do?"
"Nothing." I smiled to myself slightly. He was so funny, or at least I thought he was.
"Can I see your drawing?" I asked. He paused as if he was processing the information. With a sigh he passed the open book over. It was made of warn black leather and was soft to the touch. I was looking into Gerard Way's book. It was like taking a peak into his soul. The doodle was in fact a little cartoon vampire who was grinning with blood on his fangs. I smiled to myself and passed the book back as much as I wanted to see the rest. "Its really cute." I noticed he was tense the whole time I had the book and when I said 'cute' he relaxed and I swear I saw a small smile.
"Thanks." he said softly. I have never heard him thank anyone before.
"Your welcome, can I see more of your stuff?" again he paused and tensed. His eyes looked around the empty room since we always came early for class. He began flipping through his book to select certain images and turned the book so I could look but not touch. The first image was a tree. The tree in front of the school to be exact. The shading was perfect and I wondered how long it took him to finish this.
"Wow! How long did that take you?"
"Weeks." he flipped to the next designated page. This was a location I never saw before but it looked like a backyard. Again there was a lot of detail. I got to see a lot of his drawings but the end one came too soon. When he flipped to the last page I gasped. It was from friday! It was Hayden and I sitting under the tree and us discussing me joining The Skeleton Crew.
"Thats..." I pointed weakly,
"You." he finished. I nodded.
"And Hayden." I caught a flash of emotion in his hazel eyes. He seemed... angry I guess.
"You were watching us." I stated. He nodded.
"You watched me." a blush crept into my cheeks. People began to file into the class and I thanked them silently for saving me from the awkward situation.
