All I Ever Wanted

Apologize

I woke up the next day to Robbie standing over me. He didn't look to happy.

"What Robbie?" I asked sitting up and rubbing my eyes.

"You okay?" He asked knelling down.

"I was fine yesterday, why wouldn't I be fine today?"

"Just asking." He paused. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah. I'm fine."

"Good. Come on."

"Wait, what?"

Robbie didn't answer my question. He simply picked me up, fireman style, and carried me out of my room. I didn't struggle or scream, to tired to try. I allowed him to carry me downstairs and outside.

We walked for a while. A long while. I started going back to sleep.

When Robbie finally did stop walking we were at the border. Everyone else was there, plus a few others.

Robbie set me down next to Kenny. Kenny helped steady me.

"What's going on?" I asked, completely confused.

"Jacob wants to apologize." Jerry mumbled.

I looked over at the people standing near by. It was Jacob, Embry and another that I didn't know. Embry and the other guy were standing with his arms crossed.

When my eyes met Jacobs I had to look away. He looked sadder than he did on Saturday. His sadness made me want to cry.

"Can we talk?"

"Yeah, sure."

I refused to make eye contact. I didn't want to get sucked in.

"Alone."

Jacob's friends moved away. Far enough to still hear but it pleased Jacob. Chance and Kenny also moved back. It was Landon who stepped forward.

"Guys!" I snapped.

Robbie growled and grabbed Landon. Jerry followed the two of them back towards Chance and Kenny. Neither pack was giving a lot of space but at least they were giving some.

"How did you convince my brothers?"

"I didn't really. I just kept trying to cross the border."

"Shouldn't you be spending time with your girlfriend." I hissed.

"Bella isn't my girlfriend."

"Then who is she? Why did she kiss you?"

"She's a friend. I have no clue why she kissed me. She has a boyfriend."

Jacob ran his hands through his hair. He looked really cute.

I stomped my foot in anger. I couldn't stay angry. It was extremely annoying.

"I have to go to school." I mumbled turning around.

"Can I walk you?"

"I'm in my pajamas."

Jacob pouted.

"Fine." He smiled. "If you can convince Robbie to let you."

Apparently Robbie let Jacob walk me, cause when I was done getting dressed he was standing in our front yard.

The guys had started working on the house again.

Once we were far enough away Jacob loosened up.

"Afraid of my brothers?"

"A little." Jacob smiled. "I was alone and outnumbered."

"Understandable."

We both started laughing.

"By the way." Jacob paused, unsure of how to continue.

"What?" I pressed.

"Your house is falling apart."

"I didn't noticed." I joked.
