I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love

Epilogue

I had to find him, according to Virgil, he was my only hope.

"You must raze a thousand corpses. Only then, will you be reunited with your precious Ophelia! A simple price for an undying lost soul yes?" he had said cheerfully.

"What's the catch?" I had asked with suspicion.

"Catch?! Oh yes, of course! Of course!" he said wth a chuckle.

"The catch my boy, is that you cannot do any of the killing on your own. You must find a suitable body, a host if you will. Once you join with their subconscious, you will have partial control. They must be a violent individual, someone with pent up hatred, anger, and wrath. None other shall do, do you understand?"

I nodded, not too happy with this deal. He ignored my glum face, turning towards a large bone and pulsating flesh grandfather clock looking thing.

"You have all eternity to do this task, but know that the longer it takes, the longer your love's pain and torment shall be!" Virgil said with a grin.

I stood silent, unsure of what to do next.

"Time started a minute ago, what are you waiting for?! Get moving!"

Needless to say, I made like a bat out of hell.
