Jenn: I can't believe we're actually going to Seattle for a few days. How did you make her change her mind?

Matt shot me a smirk. I had to look away and smile. I sat in between them. His hand grabbed mine and he kissed it.

Jenn: first thing we gotta do when we get there.

Matt: what?

Jenn: Dicks.

Matt: I'm sorry what?

Melly: oh fuck yes. Shit. I haven't had Dicks in so long...

Matt: well...

I squeezed his hand and he chuckled. Jenn frowned.

Melly: Dicks dude.

Jenn: I so can't wait.

Matt: dicks? Like dicks?

Jenn: yeah Dicks. Best shit ever.

Melly: perfect meal.

Jenn: cheese burger.

Melly: fries.

Jenn: strawberry shake.

Melly: oh fuck. So good. Baby wants now.

I rested my hand on my stomach. It had become an unavoidable thing. I was surprised I'd gone so long without doing it.

Matt: so its a restaurant.

Jenn: ummm yeah.

A voice came over the intercom stating we were close to landing. My nerves were on edge.

Jenn: who is picking us up again?

Melly: umm...Briana?

Matt: your sister.

Melly: yes. My younger sister.

Matt: ok and then there's Sofi right?

Melly: yes.

As Matt got our luggage me and Jenn scanned all the people for my sister. This was going to be interesting. Jenn had tried to fill Matt in on my family. My big family. A few days is going to feel long. Really long.

Bri: MELLY!!

Out of no where my sister came crashing into me. Her arms wrapping tightly around me.

Bri: its soooo good to see you!

Melly: ay, si! Como estas hermana? (Oh, yes! How are you sister?)

Bri: I'm good. Jenn.

She hugged her tightly.

Jenn: hi Bri. Damn its cold here.

Bri: good ol' Seattle and look its raining.

Melly: never fails.

Bri: where's your stuff?

Melly: its...um...

A big smile spread across her face.

Bri: that's right...you brought a special guest. I can't wait to meet him. Where is he?

Jenn: getting our bags.

Bri: oh my goodness...let me guess, its that rocker looking guy over there, coming towards us with all the tattoos, no sweater, and you know is straight up from California.

Jenn: that's him.

Bri: definitely Melly's type.

Matt walked up. He smiled.

Matt: hello.

Melly: right well Briana this Matt. Matt this is Briana.

Bri: nice to meet you Matt.

Matt: its nice to meet you as well.

Bri: you ready to get the hell out of here?

Jenn: fuck yes.

Bri: so how is everything in California?

Melly: good. Business is going up everyday.

Bri: that's good. Welcome to the rain Matt.

He just smiled and kept looking out the window.

Matt: they told me to expect it.

Bri: how long have you two been going out?

Matt: two and a half months.

She smiled.

Bri: pre-warning you three there is going to be all of us.

Melly: brothers too?

Bri: oh yeah. Especially the brothers.

Jenn: oh fuck.

Bri: are you staying at the house tonight Jenn?

Jenn: yeah I'll go with my dad tomorrow. I can't miss out on the fun at your house.

I made a face.

Matt: I'm excited to meet your family.

Jenn: I'm excited too.

It wasn't the Matt meeting my family that made my stomach flip. It was the them meeting him and then finding out I'm pregers with his baby that kinda scares me. After they find out I'm as far along as we've been dating.

Bri: are you good at listening Matt?

Matt: sure.

Bri: because let me tell you something about our dad, he likes to talk. Give long lectures about nothing. And Melly's mom, can you understand Spanish at all,

She looked at him in the rear view mirror.

Matt: umm very little.

Bri: she's going to talk to you in Spanish. Whether you understand or not.

Matt: good to know.

We arrived at my old home. Despite my nerves I couldn't help but feel good. A smile made its way on my face as the youngest of all my siblings came running out. Full speed.

Sofi: Melly! Oh my God I've missed you so much! Take me with you when you go back! Please!

Melly: you'd have to transfer schools.

Sofi: ugh!

I kissed her head. She then went on to hug Jenn.

Melly: so Sofi. Don't freak out but-

Sofi: holy crap.

She said at the sight of Matt. Her eyes bright and wide.

Sofi: its fucking M. Shadows.

Melly: yeah surprise he's my boyfriend...

Matt: nice to meet you.

She just stared completely in shock. A nod was her only response.

Bri: let's get out of the rain.

Jenn: yes let's.

We walked into the house and immediately we were engulfed by many arms. Kissed by many lips. Bomarded by many como estas? How was the flight? Matt just watched. A happy smile on his face.

Melly: mama, papa.

I grabbed my parents by their hands and led them to Matt. He stood straight.

Melly: Matt this is my mom Rosa and my dad Gilbert. Ma y Pa this is Matt.

Dad: nice to meet you Matt.

They shook hands.

Matt: its nice to meet you sir.

I held back a laugh at the use of sir.

Matt: and nice to meet you-

Mom: call me Rosa.

He smiled sweetly at my mom.

Matt: Rosa.

Dad: welcome, grab a beer man.

Matt: I'm fine for now thank you though.

Dad: alright beers in the fridge.

Mom: Melly its so nice to have you home.

She hugged me again.

Mom: ta bien guapo. Donde lo allaste? (He's real handsome. Where did you find him?)

Melly: trabajando. Le corte su pelo y pues...(Working. I cut his hair and well...)

She smiled and hugged me again.

Sofi: Melly how come you didn't tell me he is your boyfriend?

Melly: would you have believed me?

Sofi: no...but still. I can't wait to tell that stupid kid at my school who's obsessed with Avenged Sevenfold.

Matt chuckled.

Sofi: oh my God! What if you guys pick me up! Oh my God! That would be soo cool! Then I could be like ha! In your face!

Matt: we can defitnatly pick you up.

Sofi: like come inside and look for me?

Matt: sure.

She jumped up and down.

Melly: let's go meet everyone else...

I grabbed his hand and led him through the kitchen and living room. Where he met some uncles and aunts and cousins and close friends of the family. My brothers I saved for last.

Melly: brothers.

I hugged them.

Melly: I've got someone I'd like to introduce to you. Matt this is my brother Armondo and Gilbert.

He shook their hands.

Gil: nice to meet you man.

Matt: like wise.

Armondo didn't say anything. He's the overprotective one.

Matt: another Gilbert.

Melly: there are many Gilberts in my family. Two uncles, a dad, grandpa, and my brother.

Matt: well that doesn't happen often.

Gil: no but its cause to many Gilberts can lead to too much cool.

Armondo: you're her boyfriend?

I squeezed Matt's arm.

Matt: yes.

Armondo: got a job?

Matt: yes.

Armondo: what do you do?

Matt: I'm in a band...

Gil: cool. What's the name?

Matt: Avenged Sevenfold.

Gil: oh I've heard of you guys. You're alright.

He said honestly. He's got the type of easy going funny goofy personality that he can say that and not mean anything but what he says. Matt gave a nod.

Armondo: yeah yeah. Big rockstar.

Melly: you like his music.

Armondo: a few songs and they're ok. How'd you guys meet?

Melly: I cut his hair.

He nodded. It was very awkward. But Matt didn't show anything. He was polite. I didn't know what else to expect from him. He's always so polite. It was a long ordeal. Like they always are. Parties go until the late time of night.

Dad: its nice to have you home mija.

Melly: its nice to be here.

He kissed my temple.

Dad: Matt is a nice guy.

Melly: you talk to him?

Dad: yes a little. I'm sure tomorrow I'll be able to talk to him better. Less people.

I smiled.

Mom: se van a dormir aqui?(Are you guys staying here?)

Melly: no se. (I don't know.)

Mom: ay mucho compo. Se pueden dormir en tu cuarto viejo y la Jenn se puede quedar en la sala. (There's pleanty room. You two can stay in your old room and Jenn can get the pull out couch in the livingroom.)

Melly: dejame preguntar. (Let me ask.)

I got up and went to the living room where Sofi, my brothers, Jenn, and Matt were
playing some random video game.

Melly: Matt.

He looked up at me.

Matt: yes?

Melly: my mom would like to know if you want to stay here?

Matt: wasn't that the plan?

Melly: I was just double checking.

Matt: Sofi take over for me.

Sofi: kay.

Matt came to my side and we went into the kitchen. My mom smiled at us.

Matt: I'd love to stay here Rosa.
