I wiped my eyes and stared at the computer infront of me. Schedualling is not fun. Not at all.

Melly: I'm sorry sweetheart you can't have Friday off.

Jenn: how's it going?

Melly: pretty good. Just boring you know. How's your hair?

Jenn: amazing. I forgot how bomb it is to be blonde.

Melly: yeah yeah just wait till you're like I'm tired of this I want to be dark.

Jenn: shut up.

I smiled.

Jenn: when are you going to lunch?

Melly: I don't know its super busy today. But you can tell the girls to start with their lunches.

Jenn: already did.

Melly: thanks.

Jenn: so how amazing was the other day?

Melly: its not everyday M. Shadows comes strolling into the salon. Oh and what's his face...

She scrunched her face.

Jenn: Brian.

Melly: yeah him.

Jenn: he looked so good.

Melly: you should have flashed him your boobs.

Jenn: no.

Melly: he would have totally asked you out if you flashed him.

Jenn: next time.

We laughed. I sat back in the chair and looked at her.

Melly: it was pretty cool though.

Jenn: hell yeah son.

Melly: I want a nap.

Jenn: you need one.

Melly: you too.

Jenn: I'm about to go run some errands and shit. You want anything while I'm out?

Melly: naw dude I'm good. I'll call you if I need anything.

She nodded and headed out. I walked back up front.

Melly: ladies the new schedual is up in the breakroom.

I sat at the reception desk. Taking over for Jenn while she is out. I worked on some paper work. Fun fun.

Matt: Melly.

Melly: yes?

I answered and didn't look up.

Matt: to busy for clients?

My eyes shot to his face. He had a smile.

Melly: Matt.

Matt: hi.

Melly: did the haircut not work out? I can go shorter if you like. And if its too short now your next haircut is free sweetheart.

Matt: no no its good. I just came to say hi.

Melly: ok right on.

Matt: how's it going today?

Melly: its busy. Do you not have any music shit today?

Matt: how do you know I'm involved with music?

Melly: I know you're not a doctor.

Matt: how do you know?

Melly: really?

Matt: I'm Dr. Hottie.

I cracked up.

Matt: to my patients.

Melly: you're no doctor. I know who you are.

I scribbled my signature on a paper quickly.

Melly: I listen to music and try to go to concerts.

I smiled up at him.

Melly: but like I told Brian the other day and anyone else, I try to make everyone feel comfortable.

Jenn: back.

Melly: look who came to visit.

Jenn: Matt.

She said happily.

Matt: how are you? You're blonde!

Jenn: yeah I am.

Matt: looks good.

Jenn: thanks.

Melly: he was trying to tell me he's a doctor.

She gave him a look.

Melly: Dr. Hottie to be exact.

Matt: just laugh she did.

Jenn: really dude? Dr. Hottie.

Matt: yeah really. We can all play doctor some day.

Jenn: no thanks.

My eyes looked to the door as one of his friends and bandmates came in.

Johnny: yo dude you said you were going to take like five minutes in here.

Matt: then the annoying little shit shows up.

Johnny: ooo ladies...

Me and Jenn exchanged a look.

Matt: Johnny meet Jenn and Melly.

I shook his hand and so did Jenn.

Johnny: very nice. Zacky is bitching. Invite them over or whatever so we can go.

Matt: great Johnny. So as I was going to get to eventually, there is this fundraiser I thought you might like to go to.

Melly: you don't even know us.

Johnny: and?

Matt: the more people the more money is made and I just thought you two would like to go.

Jenn: what kind of fundraiser?

Matt: its a cancer awarness fundraiser. The pink ribbon you have there is why I assumed...

I looked over at where he pointed and nodded.

Melly: I'm, we're all for cancer awarness.

I smiled. He placed to tickets on the counter.

Matt: that's if you two are not super busy. All the money spent on drinks and shit goes to cancer reaserch.

Jenn: when is it?

Johnny: tomorrow night.

Melly: we'll defitnatly try. And if not umm...if there is anyway we can help promote the company or whatever, we will. Haircuts or something.

Matt: that would be awesome.

Melly: yeah man. I'm sure we could figure something out.

He smiled.

Matt: cool well I better go before Vengeance throws a bitch fit. Can I get your numbers? Just so we can contact you.

Melly: oh yeah totally. Here's mine and this one is Jenn's.

Jenn: that has our personal cell numbers and the salons.

Matt: alright sweet. Let me just write down mine.

Johnny: nice meeting you two.

Jenn: back at ya.

They left and Jenn turned to me.

Jenn: we have to go.

Melly: man I'm so busy with shit I don't know if I can.

Jenn: I can't go alone! We have to go! You need a day off sometimes.

Melly: both of us off at the same time? That's crazy.

Jenn: nothing is going to happen. Everyone in here is capapble of doing one day without us.

Melly: I'm sure...its just.

Jenn: just what? Look Melly, they didn't have to invite us. Like we both know we aren't anybody that special. But for some weird reason he thought of us. Plus who knows we could end up close friends with them. Oh shit dude!

Melly: what?

Jenn: you realize you have Matt Sanders aka M. Shadows phone number.

This was way to surreal. I've only ever imagined shit happening like this. I started to smile.

Melly: we always knew cool things were going to happen to us.

She nodded.

Jenn: yes we did.

Melly: we have to go.

Jenn: yes we do.

Melly: what are going to where?

Jenn: shopping?

A crazy excited smile spread across her face.

Melly: looks like it.

Jenn: after work! Oh I'm so stoked.

The rest of the afternoon went slow for her. Its what happens when you watch the clock. I kept telling her not to but she wouldn't listen.

Jenn: hurry up and lock the damn doors already!!

Melly: damn girl you need to chillax.

Jenn: no time. No time.

Melly: I'm tired.

Jenn: me too. Oh shit son who's dope murdered out Range Rover is that? Oh that's right mine!

Melly: it is pretty dope.

Jenn: the dopest.

Melly: I can't wait till my car is done dude. Its going to be so sick.

She nodded and we hopped in her car.

Melly: so Matt is way hotter in person.

Jenn: I've been waiting for you to say that.

Melly: he is dude. He's so cute.

Jenn: he is cute and to think he came and invited you to a fundraiser.

Melly: us Jenn us. You'll get to see your boyfriend. Mr. Gates.

Jenn: shush.

I laughed.
