I remember being younger. Not being as careful to try and protect my secret, forgetting that I was much more different then the other children. Even though I was barely ever treated different, I was still aware of the fact that I was.
All of my elementary school teachers eventually found out, but they were never told... never warned.
By the time I was a freshmen in high school, my secret was spread throughout the community, everyone knew how special I was. My parents and I suddenly were celebrities in the community.
Of course I wasn't the first person with my condition, it was hereditary.
My parents had had many children, but it took over 100 years to finally give birth to a girl who would get the special gift.
