Wow, I love California.
Scratch that, I like California with a burning passion.
The beach, the sun, the people, it’s like it was meant for me to be here all along.
It makes me want to write a song, but not yet. The last time I wrote a song, it was about her. I’m not ready to replay that chapter of my life just yet.
And I don’t want to get too attached just yet; so many things could happen to mess it up. I don’t want to jinx it and have to run again.
I spend most of my days lazing at the beach. I rented a small apartment near the café and I have a pretty good amount of money saved up, but it won’t last forever. Sooner or later this guy is going to need a job.
I see the girl from the coffee house every now and then, she waves, but I ignore her. Rude, I know, but I can’t risk it; maybe in a couple of months.
Or years.
On the bright side, I’ve been getting better at forgetting.
