Mistaken Love

Mistaken Love...Not

I woke up sometime later to giggling. Looking around I saw all my friends looking at me. So I looked back at all of them, asking what they were looking at. They all pointed to my pillow and said LOOK. It was drool. Jerks.

"So I drool a little, I bet most of you still wet the bed at the age of three! I was potty trained at two." I huffed.

"Your mom was potty trained at two." Mimi smiled.

"UHG!" everyone groaned.

"She's been doing that all day." April sighed.

"Your mom was doing that all day." she giggled.

"Mimi Samantha Post!" April shrieked.

"Your mom is Mi-" Zacky cut her off by placing a hand over her mouth.

"You feeling better?" his smooth voice spoke.

"I'm fine. How are all of you?" I asked sitting up.

"Ben's a great doctor! We're all peachy keen!" Emma smiled.

"Has anyone heard if...my uncle is alright?" their grave expressions made my heart clench.

"Did someone ask for me?" my Uncle Conner smiled while walking into the room with Eddie.

"Connie you're alright!" I said getting up to go hug him.

"Of course I am." he smiled and moved out of the way, "I think some people want to see you."

Just then Jake, Sebastian, Georgie, and Steph who was holding a baby ran in. Their voice mixed at once with questions of this and that. I just smiled seeing all of them though. We all sat down around the cramped room and began to talk. Seb explained how Georgie heard what happened on the news and rushed them here. Seb was so worried his first real friends would die without him knowing them for very long. Whenever Jake would open his mouth some form of an apology would spill out and he'd start crying over us and Anthony. We noticed how Steph would squeeze his hand and he'd calm down a little. Steph was here because Ben had called her and ask that she came. Jake and her met in the lobby but refused to speak.

Still, it was nice seeing everyone all together. We were wondering when the parents would burst in so we enjoyed the tranquility of the moment. When they did come I realized how little there was. Of course Anthony's mom came, Mimi and April's mom and dad came, but no one expected Zacky's aunt and little brother in the room. He ran right for him, almost knocking Mimi over.

"Hey buddy." Zacky smiled.

"Are you alright? I was so scared..."

"Brian, I'm fine." Zacky assured the 13 year old.

Zacky introduced Mimi to him and his aunt. That's when Mimi had to tell her parents she was pregnant. Steph hissed out a yes and immediately exchanged numbers for future play dates. While the Post's were getting over the shock of Mimi's news they also had to get over April possibly dating a young doctor. Poor guys. Anthony's mom was crying and hugging Eddie. She'd sometimes hug April or Jake too. Her heart was broken.

After everyone calmed down we all left to check out. We piled in cars and headed home, Ben included. He figured he could get a job at the Hospital in Lock Haven since he stole an ambulance at his previous work...they weren't too forgiving.

When we arrived on the familiar street Eddie offered to let Zacky and Ben stay the night. I asked Steph and Emma if they wanted to stay at my place so I wasn't completely alone going to my own house. Not to mention Uncle Conner would be with me from now on. We all went to our respective rooms and waited for morning to come.

It's been seven months since then. Everyone has gotten the swing of things again. Just last month in May; April, Ben, and I watched Seb, Eddie, Zacky, and a very pregnant Mimi graduate. We also all went to Steph's graduation along with Shaun and Emma's. April and I weren't too happy to go back to high school in the fall while everyone else started collage or other parts of their lives.

Seb still sends me letters and calls once a week. Him and Georgie are happily engaged and will be going to the same collage this fall. He's gotten happier and everyone doesn't seem to hate him anymore. It's still funny to think about though as Eddie cringes every time Seb hugs him.

"I'm not homophobic...but he had a crush on me...and hired guys to beat me up. It's still weird!" he defended.

"Sure sure..." I teased.

Jake and Steph worked things out. They're not engaged and might not be for a while but they go to the same collage so they can care for their baby. Jake even quit soccer to get a job. He's growing up and Steph is happy he'll be there for the two of them.

"Just think. Soon little Angel will have a friend."

"Terrific...let's hope it's another girl."

"What's wrong with a boy?"

"I'm terrified of Zacky...imagine his baby!"

"Oh Jake." Steph laughed.

Speaking of babies, Mimi is due pretty soon. I've hardly seen her since Zacky kidnaps her all the time. He buys her whatever she craves no matter what time of day or night. He hardly lets her walks either. Having a doctor as a room mate pays off a little too. The two of them are engaged and plan for a wedding in December.

"Ben, should she really be eating that?"

"The baby wants it!"

"Well, you heard her...the baby wants it."

"57 sauce on macaroni n' cheese?"

"IT'S THE FOOD OF THE GODS!!! Do we have any steak?"

"I'll go get some..." Zacky laughed.

"Your mom will go get some." Mimi yelled after he shut the door. A faint groan was heard afterward.

Ben and April started dating and are taking things rather slow. It's a new thing for April and she still has the pain of losing Anthony, but Ben knows she's getting better. They both are absolutely smitten with one another.

"He'd be so jealous."

"Anthony?"

"Yeah...your car is gorgeous."

"Not as gorgeous as you are riding in the passenger seat."

"That was so corny." April laughed and snuggled closer.

Emma and Shaun call and write and text everyone still. They're happily together and plan to go to collage closer to us this fall. Nothing is permanent though. Emma says they might travel around Australia for a year or two. They'll be happy no matter what as long as they're together.

"And I hear the beaches are beautiful!"

"Emma, don't be a tourist. We're also visiting the real out back."

"I know Shaun! Oh, Rory wants us to bring her a kangaroo..."

"What?"

"Something about riding in its pouch..."

"She knows what that is right?"

"Shaun...it's Rory." Emma laughed and dragged Shaun along the sidewalk.

Uncle Conner moved in with me. We keep the house up to date but he has added a few touches. He still talks to his "friends" every now and then, but it is less and less frequent. He says they easily get lost on the way here. It's good that he's here; he tells me I look more and more like my mom everyday.

As for Eddie...he's waiting a year before starting collage with me. He's working at his father's company making sure no one corrupts the power they have over other businesses. He writes letters to his father who is in jail for life. He hopes he'll be released in ten years on parole for good behavior. He still hasn't visited yet.

"I'll go with you."

"No thanks Rory. I'd rather remember my father with dignity."

"Fine, but while we're here you have to smile! Otherwise the kids will be so sad."

"I never thought I'd be back here..." he sighed and smiled.

Eddie and I are currently at the cam we met at. I signed us up to be counselors and luckily, it is now co-ed. Eddie was dropping me off at my cabin, the same one we shared as kids, before going to the boys side. As I opened the door I looked around and saw little girls and boys laughing and talking. A big family. That's when Eddie pointed to a girl alone on a bunk reading.

"Deja vu." Eddie whispered. We were about to walk over and say hi when she started screaming!

"SPIDER!" the girl dropped her book and pressed herself against the wall to get as far as possible from the thing. Just then a little boy looked up from his game and ran over to her. He picked it up and through it out the window. He turned back to the girl and smiled.

"All gone."

"That was amazing! You’re my hero!" she squealed and launched herself at him.

"My name is Freddie." he smiled.

"Mine is Lorry." she blushed.

Eddie and I stared at the two in shock. It was double, no, triple deja vu. The boy pulled the girl along and introduced his friends to her. Eddie laughed and kissed my cheek.

"What a mistake that boy made. Now she won't leave him alone."

"Are you saying what I think you're saying?" I glared playfully.

"Of course not." Eddie snickered

"Hey...who are you guys?" the girl Lorry came up and asked with Freddie being pulled by the wrist.

"I'm Rory and this is Eddie, we're going to be your counselors." I smiled.

"Oh...get them!" Freddie screamed and attacked. We were quickly out numbered and knocked down with children crawling over us. When I finally found Eddie's face he smiled.

"Now that was a mistake."

"Oh shut up." I huffed, as a girl ran and jumped on me.

"I love you Rory." he said suddenly as a boy hit him with a rubber bat.

"I love you too Eddie." I sighed and laced his hand with mine as the kids continued to maul us.

It was here where our love began and here where it will continue to blossom. It's here where we're being beaten up by kids and here where we will let them. Edward James is the love of my life and I'm his. This is where, in two days time, Eddie will see a rainbow while we by the lake and dive into it grabbing an "old looking box" and pulling out a brand new sparkling ring.

"Here Rory," Eddie said getting down on one knee, "I want you to keep this and stay with me forever. Will you marry me?"

No words will be able to describe how I'll feel and I'll cry and jump on him shouting "YES I'LL MARRY YOU!" He'll smile big and spin me around, then suddenly lean in and give me the best kiss of my life.

A ball smacking my face woke me up from my daze. I saw the little boy, Freddie laugh and run away only to be tackled onto Eddie by another boy. I sighed and wondered how long we'd be like this. That's when a very familiar whistle blew. We all looked up at a 30 year old blond woman. The kids got up and ran out the door. Eddie and I smiled up sheepishly.

"Hey Tory...did you miss me?" I asked, dusting myself off.

"You two." she smiled slightly "Your job is to control the kids, not the other way around."

"They attacked us so suddenly!" Eddie protested.

"Sure. Come on, lunch is about to start." Tory smiled and walked out. We followed after her, quiet with out heads down like we used to way back then.

"Letting you two work here was a mistake." she laughed and patted our shoulders. I looked over at Eddie and he laughed softly.

"Apparently, Eddie and I are good at making mistakes."

*bows for my 13 subscribers* Thank you thank you, I hope you enjoyed the show just as much as I had writing it! You know this all started back in 7th grade when I had a dream of- oh what am I saying, the adventure is over. It shouldn't matter where it started or how long it took to finish.
Someone said something about a sequel...I'm pondering that...what sort of troubles could they all get into and stuff like that.
Anyway, the pre-Mistaken Love one shots will be posted randomly. =]
