‹ Prequel: Just One of the Boys

Guilty Feet Have Got No Rhythm

End

This has been a loooooong time coming. As you might have guessed, I have basically given up on this story, and Mibba as well. This website had been a part of my life for maybe five years--a place where I cultivated my writing and tried to make my dreams of being an author come true. Now, well, now I have found my solstice in other sites and other places and the need for my bandfics have long since passed. For those of you who stuck with me, thank you so much. I owe everything to you all, and I'm sorry that I never finished this. I hate to leave everything unfinished, and so here you go. I leave you all with the final spoilers to GFHGNR and JOOTB.

That Night that Changed Everything:

Holly did sleep with Zack that fateful night in JOOTB. She went to the room to meet Alex when her mother called and left a voicemail. Emma told her how proud she was of Holly and how happy she was that Holly was final maturing and growing as a person--she reminded Emma of herself when she was younger, right around when she met Austin. In her drunken state, Holly had a panic attack and decided that she didn't deserve the same love and life as her parents, all because she killed her father. So she left the bathroom she was hiding in and found the room where Zack was, right next to the room where she was going to meet Alex, and sabotaged her happiness.

Holly honestly believed that killed her dad (if she hadn't asked him to go on a bike ride, he wouldn't have had a heart attack and die), and thus believes she doesn't deserve happiness.

Claudia and Zack:

As for Claudia's pregnancy, the father is NOT Brian, it was actually Zack. The bassist she returned to the bus with was Zack, and they had angry hate sex after they drunkenly yelled at each other over Holly.

(Zack was always in love with Holly, and resented Alex for having her. She was kind of the forbidden fruit that he knew he would never have, and after "tasting" her, realized she wasn't what he wanted.)

Claudia and Zack end up in a rocky relationship for the sake of the child, and they eventually do fall in love. They give birth to a girl, whom they name Elizabeth, and get married shortly afterwards. They live Happily Ever After.

Holly and Avery:

Holly returns to Avery after the car ride with Alex. They continue in a relationship for about six more months, when Avery realizes that he will never be what she wants and needs. They have great chemistry and passion, but they're not in love. They break up and stay friendly. He eventually meets another girl and settles down.

And finally....

Holly and Alex:

When they were in the car together, Holly finally explains why she slept with Zack. They fight (Alex thinks she's making excuses and Holly wants him to understand that she's basically a moron and terrified of allowing herself to be happy because something bad always happens) but eventually decide to be friends. It's hard work, and they eventually make it back to the tour, but they decide to set at least ten minutes aside each day to talk and try and make their friendship work. They both stand by Claudia and Zack's sides, and help with the pregnancy. When Elizabeth is born, Holly and Alex are named the Godparents, and they bond over takin care of her. Their friendship explodes the night of CLaudia and Zack's wedding when they get drunk and sleep together. When they wake up, they panic and refuse to talk to each other until Holly grows a fucking pair and tells him she loves him. Three months later Alex proposes and they elope in Vegas. (Emma buys them a beach house in LA as a wedding present when she finds out, as a kind of 'thank you for sorting your shit out and for making my daughter happy'). They fight like crayz and threaten to divorce each other at least three times a year, but they eventually have four crazy kids with Holly's temper and Alex's eyes. And they all live happily ever after

Thank you again for all of you who stood by my side and helped me get through the worst of my writers block and watched my baby grow from an idea born in my english class into a massive two story plot line that slowly ate up at LEAST five years of my life. I love you all

xoxo
