Edward and his family move to Forks after Bella's 18th birthday party where Jasper and the rest of his siblings nearly kill her because she- klutzily and unsurprisingly- cut her finger. He meets a girl, thoughts buzzing around her head and screaming at a shopkeeper for some unknown reason with her rough but beautiful voice carrying outside into the wind.
When he gives her a jacket, she goes to a corner and rips off her tee shirt and puts it on, back turned and not caring what he saw. If he can lift his eyes from her muscled body and truly into her, he may have a chance at unraveling the dark past and present that she calls 'life'.
Meanwhile, his brothers and sisters are laughing at his stupidity and the girl's dry humor.

During this, Jacob and a few friends are sent to live with an insane woman in Forks after being caught breaking the law, cheap fake IDs, and drinking at a club. Can they handle this ridiculous bitch if she can beat their asses?
