She looked out the window to the view she'd never see again. Her last goodbye to the place she'd called home for her entire 9 years of existence. And now she had to leave it all behind. She heard a knock on her door and spun around to see John walking in. Her best friend for seven years. She ran and hugged him, tears finally falling down her face. She didn't care about her house, she'd miss John more than anything. They broke apart and looked at each other. Tears falling down both of their eyes.

They grabbed each others hands and walked down the stairs. Not nearly ready to say goodbye. When they got outside she hugged his parents, all of them crying. They were her second family, and she was like a daughter to them.

She walked back over to John. They hugged once more, burying their faces into one each others neck and inhaling deeply. Trying to memorize each others scent. She looked him in the eyes and whispered "I'll come back for you one day, I promise.” And with that, she turned around, climbed into the backseat of her families old car, and they drove away. All the while, tears still streaming down her face.
