"Ugh Its him." I mumbled.

"Hello Lanie." He waved at me.

"Why are you always bothering me?" i asked ever so bluntly.

"Because your my new partner"

"WHAT!" I practically screamed.

"Yes Skyric is your partner." said Dean

"What!, Why him?"

"We partner young kids like you together so that it may be more comfortable for you to adjust while you train and that way your chances of reaching your goal is much higher."

"Cant you partner me up with some other person." I looked at Skyric. "Some Other person?"

"Im afraid we cant. Hes the only one thats closest to your age."

"Well there is one person." said Regina

"Really!" i said brightening up. "Tell me anyone but him."

"I only met you for a day and you dont like me?" said Skyric pouting.

I ignored him.

"I dont think you will like him though. You will meet him soon in case he might not be to your liking. I dont think he is someone you could cope with. So for now Skyric is your new training partner."

"Aww" I groaned.

"Dont complain were going to have some fun." said Skyric

"When do we start training?" i asked

"Tomorow." replied Dean

"What tomorow? I got JROTC practice."

"You'll have to make do. Well write up a note for you."

"Sure cool." Hmm the thought of ditching JROTC practice sounds pretty cool to me. Our captains pretty strict.

"Do I need anything?"

"No the only thing you need is shoes a couple extra clothes, and your I.D. Dean turned to my mother. "Are you ok with this Mrs Harix?"

"Oh" she hesitated. "Fine as long as shes ok and someones watching her."

"Dont worry Mrs Harix we will take care of her just fine."
