The Ink

The Roaring Twenties. A time of crime and drama, lust and alcohol, prostitutes and jazz. Especially in the windy city of Chicago.

There's Brendon Urie, a defense attorney for all spectrums of city criminals, rich or poor alike. He's got a fast mind and a witty demeanor and usually never takes a case unless he's sure of the outcome. He's still young, as are many of his clients, and can often sympathize with them, either for their age or their poverty-stricken backgrounds.

There's Ryan Ross, a young, sarcastic journalist for the Chicago Sun. He believes himself to be the cream of the crop, and he very well may be. He writes mesmorizing articles about every one of Brendon's trials, often stretching the truth to make the public believe that his clients are truly innocent. In a sense, Brendon's success almost always comes from Ryan and his way with words.

Professionalism makes this couple keep their relationship a secret. It's love and lust as much as it is strategy for the both of them.

But of course, nothing can stay perfect forever.
