The revelation came to me at the end of the day, while sunlight still confined me to my coffin. Suddenly everything came into focus, as if I had adjusted the lens on a camera. Everything was in sharp clarity, while all the unimportant things blurred into the background.
It became very clear to me everything that I wanted. Moreover, what I wanted was her.
I knew I did not want to continue my existence unless she was a part of it. There was nothing else to be said about it.
However, I feared that she would not want me. After all, I was a vampire, and she was a human. The thought of her with Sam was torture to me. I did not want her to belong to anyone else.
I was in love with her.
